50 years..... I fought the urge to buy Festool products. But I do have to say.... the Track Saw is a must, I am older now and can't swing sheets of plywood like before. The Track saw solves that!

I couldn’t agree more. That’s why the track saw was the first festool tool I bought (and only as of now). I may buy more in the future, not because they are a necessity but because they could make building more efficient, easier, quicker, more enjoyable, or all of the above.

So true, couldn’t agree more on being realistic with the budget on tools. It’s easy to spend a ton of money real quick!

Absolutely! If I didn’t have a wife and kids to think about I may be bankrupt already.

How awesome, I'm almost 70 years old and have always wanted to do woodworking. I have recently purchased a table saw and a crosscut saw as well as a couple sanders. However I haven't had the nerve to try it yet. I was so surprised you were doing all this with such a small amount of tools. Your work is awesome, just found your videos tonight. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you so much! Yes, you do not need a lot of tools to make a lot of things out of wood. I watched a lot of videos on KZbin about power tool safety and technique before I started using them but it was still nerve-racking to use them for the first time. You can do it!

I have been woodworking for 50 years. Was a Cabinet Maker for 25 of those. Start small and work your way..... it does not take long. Remember to think through every project.

Bro I have the same tablesaw as you AND we both had the same idea for the foldable wall mounted workbench. This is uncanny. You earned the sub

Are your plans beginner friendly? Saw a few videos and like a couple of the tables for smaller spaces. And can you get the videos if you buy the plans? Thanks for info.

Yes the plans are very beginner friendly and all plans come with a detailed instructional video.

Very nice. What plywood did you use for the drawer fronts? I know you said quart inch but I don’t think you mentioned the species
@ThomasCustomWoodworks Жыл бұрын
1/2” birch plywood

@ThomasCustomWoodworks What did you use for the finish? And I love the diagonal bands of wood color on the drawer fronts.

Thanks! I used General Finish Arm-R-Seal

I just found your channel and agree with you. When I started, I didn’t have great tools but I was still able to build some pretty cool things. I have since upgraded almost all of my tools for speed and safety. (Sanders that have HEPA vacs, saws that stop when you touch them, etc.) Keep doing what you are doing. My only input on the video was that it seemed a bit slow by showing things like every piece of edge banding tape being applied. Otherwise, great video

Great build but I don’t really see how these tools are “inexpensive” when they are worth well over $1500

None of you you-tubers understand what a "real woodworker" is. A "Real" woodworker does not build stuff. He doesn't have time. He is too busy doing important stuff. Collecting tools and rearranging his shop.
