@@sn8kebytez That's just a motif. A leitmotif is a recurring melody that is associated by the work with a specific person/place/thing, and changes as that person/place/thing narratively changes. Like, take Star Wars for example. The main title theme (the one that plays over the opening crawl) is just a motif/theme, because it only represents the work itself and the theme of "being a hero". Vader's theme, the Imperial March, is a leitmotif because it represents Anakin/Vader the character, and changes as he progresses (in _Revenge of the Sith,_ it starts to seep in as he turns to the Dark Side, and in _Return of the Jedi,_ as he's dying, it plays a softer rendition of the melody). This piano theme doesn't narratively represent anything more than "Luigi's Mansion 2" or "spooky places", in the same way that the Star Wars theme represents "being a hero".

I don't know if you talked about this in other videos but, if not, you should definetly listen to the last two songs of the Touch Generations CD. They are new renditions of the Wii Sports theme and Nintendogs theme, with the latter being in the style of japanese jazz fusion like Casiopea. Also, they are performed live with real instruments. Truly a joy to listen to!
