What I'm saying is that it's bloody so surprising how the makers of Top Spin have not spotted how replete the comments sections are among all tennis game review videos in their sheer fandom of the game. Hence why have they not released an updated version? There is probably a satisfactory business answer for this. But until that becomes widely understood or promulgated in the tennis fan community, it will remain an absolutely stultifying mystery.

I think they are pretty good compared to other sports games out there (EA) the only thing I would be worried about if they did do a topspin 5 is an ultimate team/my team game mode in there (basically micro transactions) but they have done it in the past so I would have faith in them doing it again. Saying that EA made an ok tennis game with grand slam tennis 2 but it was far from perfect

Great reviews. You covered all the important aspects of both the games. I'm inclined towards AO2 because of all the reasons you said (better career mode, free downloadable content like stadiums and players, customisation and creation of stadiums) I honestly feel AO2 will make me spend a lot if time in the game, which is really good. The immersion will be better.

I love the gameplay in AO tennis really makes you feel like your playing a tennis game. My problems with it are the menus look terrible, plater selection is not good at all, no Djokovick, Serena, wranwika, Federer, Murray. Missing key players you can download players from the academy but it’s not the same.

I prefer AO. The progression in career mode is good I actually prefer the progression aspect of AO better than topspin 4’s but when it comes to gameplay feel topspin is still better. Some of the shots in AO is a bit unrealistic compared to real life tennis tho. The slice forehand and volley ball speed are waay too quick

U have to consider that Companies put money according to revenue. Games like FIFA has Massive Fanbase , Everyone plays FIFA. I used to play grand slam tennis on the Wii and absolutely loved it using the Wii motion sensor was such a great way to play it’s a shame that Nintendo haven’t utilised the same with the switch remotes it also would be great to have a game with all the grand slam tournaments in it instead of 1 or 2 I’m hoping that a tennis game comes out that has both great gameplay and licensing

I prefer AO Tennis 2 mainly cause you can actually aim the shots. I'm not in these games for some hardcore experience. Graphics are better in AO, Career mode is cool and your character almost has a story, controls are less clumsy.

Now that the team from AO 2 are working with TWT 2, I'm hoping TWT 3 will have the super player creator. Both games still fell a little off for me. I do prefer TWT 2 gameplay wise. The movement in AO2 is still too clunky for me. AO2 is vastly better than TWT 1.

TS4 was great for it’s time but the gameplay in TWT2 besides the aesthetics I like more than TS4. You see a lot more errors which make shots more valuable and players aren’t like brick walls, rallies in TS4 go on a bit too much. TS4 would be near perfect if they had more of this.

@@bryank427 if it’s going to be free check it out but if AO was on special for $20, I paid $40 WT2 and uninstalled it after a few games, AO is so much more realistic, WT2 every game I played the server would always lose the game and there wasn’t any rallies and the movement wasn’t fluid but AO had realistic rallies and the movement was really fluid and had much more fun playing it and the create a player you can make them look pretty much exactly like yourself where WT2 you can only choose default heads

I have both....And I will be buying Tennis World Tour 2 again when the ps5 version comes out in March, it looks like its not a free upgrade either....lmao!!!Gameplay for TWT2 update has improved the game immensely...So graphics and gameplay go to TWT2.....Career and venues go to AO2....Its really a hard sell which one is better becuase I love them both but I give TWT2 the edge.....If TWT2 had downloadable venues like AO2 TWT2 would win by a mile...I say if you're not really into career or venues but prefer gameplay and graphics TWT2....If you want licensed venues and a great career mode then AO2....If you get the ace edtion for TWT2 you get the Rolland Garros edtion (French Open)(Grand Slam) with all 3 arenas , the Madrid Open Spain (1000 Master Tournment)and the Owl Arena ....Along with the Ace Edtion you get all the new content that they are going to release...So far 6 new players with 4 more to come with a new venue....

You should give AO Tennis 2 then a try. It has different Settings/Difficullties. In easy it plays like Virtua Tennis 1&2 (on the dramcast) and on hard its also great but super challenging. If u get the power wrong in hard then the ball lands in the net or tot far and off field. AO2 is hand down the better game because its accessible and allows for a quick round with kids but also a challenging "simulation" match.

Sure it was crazy repetitive to win and some of the players didn't simulate the real players' play style. AND the commentary repeated more than anything should. I respected the effort they put in to get McEnroe and Cash to even record and getting license for all the courts they had. And the graphics weren't bad. Not to mention the roster they had I thought was really good
