In this video we will cover how to count entries with the trend.
As a trader's we want to follow the trend and while doing so we need to find the highest probability entries possible.
In order for a trader to find a high probability entry, he first must learn the proper way to count entries.
Price action trading solely analysis the naked chart and bars on the screen. There is no need for indicators. Once you learn the skill to read price action, you will find the proper entries quickly.
The only people who know where the market is heading are institutions. They are the ones who make the market move and our job as a retail traders is to follow their footsteps and get the piece of their movement. As a priceaction traders we need to find the most profitable ways to enter trades. The highest probability setups are 2nd entries at the key entry points.

Key entry points are:
1) Trendlines - after a break we expect a correction or retest of a new extreme
2) Support and resistance lines - most breakouts of trading ranges fail
3) EMA - 21 bar settings
The reason why we look for 2nd entries and not 1st or 3rd entries is tied directly to human psychology.
If you are interested in learning to day trade stocks, forex and futures SUBSCRIBE to the channel and I hope you enjoy the videos!
The best way to became consistantly profitable is to learn to read the chart in its purest form. There is no holy grail or set of indicators that can make you rich without work. Learning to understand how prices move and why they move is a learnable skill that anyone can achieve.
OUR PRICE ACTIONS RULES WORK IN EVERY MARKET AND EVERY TIMEFRIME.
Priceaction is universal and technical analysis patterns repeat over and over again on consistent basis.
Trading with a fear is the most common fear most trade have. It is crippling and can get your mind frozen. The key to consistancy is to be emotionless and fear nothing in trading.
Key rules of our strategy:
1) Second entried in the direction of a trend
2) Trendlines
3) Failed breakouts
4) Failed second entry counter trend
5) Support and resistance
Target Profit - 10 Ticks
Stop Loss - below signal bar (around 10 ticks)
Overall market context is more important than individual patterns.
Technial analysis works and it repeats over and over.

Investments are a means of providing funds for the generation of future income or profit. Investing allows individuals to set aside money while they go about their day-to-day business, let the funds work for them, and earn income for their future work. It is important to invest wisely, make informed decisions, and carefully weigh the potential risks and rewards associated with each investment opportunity. That's why I work with Sherman Williams Trading because he has profitable strategies

Truth be told, I am no expert, and I’m more concerned bout getting profits than facing difficulties in the financial trades markets. Earnestly, I’m always busy and that made me avail myself of services from a connoisseur of trading since I don’t really have the time to do it myself. And thus far it’s more than safe to say I’ve actually been earning profits consistently without the risk of ruins.

The financial trades market is hard work, but it’s no guesswork. Eventually, you don’t need a bunch of indicators or learn every mysterious new pattern in the markets to be profitable, you just need an edge ( like shadowing a pro ) or a working system per se.

Right on George! Most people overestimate the time it takes to accomplish things. You can accomplish what most people take years to do within months I know for a fact. I’ve only started using Kevin S. Mikan's approach as a licensed trades expert for 3months now, and I can attest to the advantages of working with someone familiar with the industry. His quality entry and exit points coupled with his extraordinary strategies have helped in securing me consistent ROIs in the markets, while I maintain my job.

4:30 1EL (1 TICK) then 2EL. SUCCESS requires spatial awareness, patients and a mechanical system to count waves. 7:30 example 2. Wave count and 2EL. Note: 2nd leg entry are high probability trades. Hindsight will reveal some "missed" opportunities however if you only engage the market using 2nd leg entry then your consistency will increase. 11:00 DOWN trend wave count. This is useful information. Why _ because if applied properly it will stop you from being trapped in short term reversals!!!! 13:14 complex retracement then bullish 2nd entry long. MAGIC. Success demands that you follow your trade plan rules..
@rollyunicorn
@rollyunicorn Жыл бұрын
Yes. I agree with you. I noticed this also. Probably it would be best to consider the 1st entry as a likely trap for the early birds and the 2nd entry as highly likely to succeed. Bearing in mind that most people find it difficult to re enter right after a loss, especially on daily charts with the larger stop size employed. Less trades as you say, but still very acceptable due to the higher win rate.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. What I don’t get is why some traders go for 1 point targets when all they could do is move their stops up as price advances. Reducing risk on stops and gaining opportunity to lock in targets. All that waiting and counting for 1 point, especially on micro ES minus all the fees and commissions seems like a waste of time, I guess I don’t see how they will get wealthy risking all that money and time for 1 point. I know on regular ES contracts 2 points a day X 2-3 contracts would make a good living if done consistently minus taxes. Looking for 2nd entries then riding the swing trend with higher highs and lows would make more sense to me. Stop loss risk would take care of itself on 1-2% risk per trade or less if moving stops to break even as price advances in your direction. To each their own.
@ThomasWade
@ThomasWade 2 жыл бұрын
Fair point. I actually tried something similar like that but it is just very hard to execute in live markets. I go for 2 points. Generally you have to wait for price to go past two points for you to move SL to 2 points break even spot. Price is retracing so much that you are generally not able to do this. You will get your scalp and price will pullback. If you can do it consistently live then definitely let me know. I would be interested. But if you go for 1 point, you can wait for price to hit 5 ticks and make the ATM to move your SL automatically to 1 point break even spot.

Thanks Thomas, very helpful, I would like to know where exactly you place your limit order when 2entrie confirmed, immediately in the same candle or when opening the next candle?
@ThomasWade
@ThomasWade Жыл бұрын
At the close of the signal bar. After break above the signal bar, entry was triggered and I drop my limit. You can see my live session videos to see how I enter exactly. Opening of the next candle is indicating the trigger for the entry, above the signal bar. So technically entry is on the next candle after the bar that signals 2EL.

good videos. thx. pls allow me to say ... at 10:45 - i wish you had discussed that 1st downswing (2 larger red candles) in the context of the Uptrend. you jumped to the Downtrend discussion immediately, before the downtrend would've even been apparant in real time. At that point, we wouldn't still been counting the down-legs looking to take a long in the uptrend. It looks to me that there was a 2EL shortly thereafter that would've failed. Am I correct about this? THX
@ThomasWade
@ThomasWade 10 ай бұрын
2EL formed below EMA so we are not interested. Also 2EL formed as bearish doji and not good bullish signal bar. You don't want to take that setup anyway. Note that his video was mainly about technical count of entries, not really how to identify high probability setups with all price action rules.

Do we have to wait for the signal candle to close or do you enter/count the entry even with a 1 tick higher but still not closed bullish candle?

Technically it forms once there is a trigger but we always wait for signal bar to finish if we want to actually enter. Because it can easily reverse and setup may not form.
