The grand master could glance at a board and almost instantly see [the] possible combinations of the pieces. *He could accurately guess what move the opponent was likely to make given the existing pattern of the pieces on the board.* .. Sir, Daily or 4 hour S/R(support/resistance) levels, Forex --do these levels deflect price 60% of times?--and if so why not put standing orders at the start of each day in few currencies(each order with take profit & stop loss) and let the statistical edge play out. It may be safer to just work with daily S/R levels but 4 H levels would give many more executions. And if one happens to be watching price action at the level LIVE then combine it with overbought/oversold stochastics/.cci to confirm price deflection chances. Any comments/suggestions

Interesting concept but when looking at the chart I don't know that it does any better. For example, in the box to the far left, price breaks out to the upside. Looks like it settles higher at A but then goes south for a loss. Then goes south to B so you think it's below the midline so smart money is going long, yet it continues south for another loss. Then in the consolidation in "C", price breaks out to the upside for a winner without regard to this method. Then goes down toward "D" so one would think with this method it's going south to below the "C" consolidation box, but instead it moves higher for a loss. Then it consolidates in "D" but also goes straight up similar without regard to this method. Then it consolidates in "F" and finally works as this method intends (whipsaws below the box, then above, and then in the "settled" direction.

Thank you for your nice comment! The MA line is supposed to represent the average price flow of the higher time frame so you can get a better feeling for overall direction. Ohhh ok i see its just to calibrate it with the higher timeframe, got it thanks. For now what works best for me its to find consolidation boxes on the 4 hours and enter trades when it crosses the line and all the ma’s are pointing to the direction of the cross on the 15 min and lower. Cant find boxes on the daily candlesticks and cant really recognise boxes on the 15 min. I see them but they don’t do what they supposed to do. @@yuvald5334 you should make sure ur losses are small and enter at right time(dont chace price, enter when its calm), focus having small loosers if u r wrong, winners happen on their own, i find its easy to make money as long as u focus always have small losses, doesnt matter where u enter and what direction u bet, as long as you have tight stop loss and once u guessed correctly let it run for big win, how big depends on if market trending or just going sideways, anyways u can back test entering any calm period(small candles that overlap and go sideways without clear direction) chance of guessing is always 40 to 60% all that rly matter is having small losses and bigger wins, juat try this at least 20 times with demo account u will see ez...

so what happens when a contraction leads to trend continuation.. rather than the expected expansion phase for the profit trend phase that follows

.Hi! Then maybe wait for a pullback opportunity to enter or just wait on the sidelines. Good luck!

The box is very subjective and how do we know at what point the expansion phase is over and its now phase 3 where we look to enter and make a profit? non of this is clear cut, far far too subjective.

Hi, I see the contraction phase you highlight and I see others not highlighted before/after the one being discussed. How do you choose the one you work off of moving forward trade planning? Ie, on the daily chart at 12:35 you have the box around Feb 4th but there was contraction approx 2 weeks earlier and another 2 weeks later so how do you choose the right one? Thnx for feedback..

You should identify all relevant boxes in the current range first. You then see which prior contraction levels price reacts too and then price itself will let you know which is currently the best to work from.
