Being a classic mini owner and having restored my car ..i can't justify restoring the engine for 30k.. i know 3 mini specialist known in the groups who can do it for 10k.. for 30k, i'm having a crazy high performance engine with high cams, webers, dry deck and so on.. maybe even Omega pistons

Hi Thomas, i also own a SPI, the 35 Anniversary model. Firstly where is the shop in Yr video located n does it have a name? U mentioned u planned to replace the brake components to original, in my opinion, the original brake sux, better to keep the upgraded ones. Lastly I seriously feel the amount u estimated is wayyy too high. Restoring a gearbox won't cost more than 2K. I done it so I know. RM15K to Rm20K is more than enough bro for a great restoration n upgrade. This includes some great upgrades from Mini Spares. Rgds

I got it. Thanks for your feedback bro. a big chunk of it comes from buying a new 5 speed crosslink gearbox. Otherwise it'll be nearer to 25k. And I'm also putting a higher price expectation so I won't be surprised haha. PS. that's super awesome you have the 35 anniversary model!

Since you need to remove the engine to fix all the gaskets... Since you are you, you probably can't sleep if you don't fix it as near as original. Yup, you have the funds. By all means, go do everything that makes you smile more. It's a Mini!
