I pray for all the homes lost and the people that got evacuated. It’s sad and hopefully these brave men and women firefighters are safe fighting this fire. I’ve only done firefighting for 4 seasons and I’m trying to get back in, but seems like this fire season will be more erratic then previous fires. 🙏🏼

I would imagine the only logical way to fight.These fires is at night.Because during the day it's too hot.Are you gonna fight the fires and a 110 plus degree weather?You're not god bless all you man , stay strong

Real question is we’re the fires set on purpose and allowed to burn and get bigger in the. In the name of climate change or are they just not quick enough to get water planes out there
@tawnyasteele22743 ай бұрын
It is incredibly windy in the area. They have had planes on this since ignition at about noon on July 2nd. It is in steep terrain with thick plant coverage. Gusty winds have been creating hot-spot far past the main body of the fire so ground work they had to focus on evacuation efforts and then stucture protection predominantly. Planes worked throughout night, especially on area shown in video.

I watched the first lines of smoke and watched it the entire time they did absolutely nothing except put enough water on it to make it burn faster, I know how to put out a fire and they had plenty of time to do so. There was no need for evacuations. They just plain don't want any witnesses to their crime.

It’s almost like native oak trees have evolved to survive and thrive with fire for millions of years? Hey what do I know. I’m just a botanist. You probably will just assume it’s a energy weapon. Not absolutely garbage home planning and invasive grass that makes fire move 10x faster. Use google it’s free

@@sacramentofoodforest Hey what do I know. I’m just an auto mechanic that thinks it's kinda weird to see engine blocks and allunminum wheels running down the street in puddles and Blue roofed houses uncinged.. over & over
@sacramentofoodforest3 ай бұрын
@@autojohn-pu1vf you seem like a educated man. I honestly hella respect mechanics , and I get why you think it’s sus. What I would say is what should be sus , is our forest management here. The fact that a entire forest will burn, and the government replants then exactly the same after. The fact that oroville is surrounded by invasive grass that burns hot and fast. Or the fact that many of these homes were built without fire management in mind. I can keep going. Nature is strong man. What makes it this destructive is what we’ve done to our public lands. That and the fact that this was 99% most likely started by a homeless camp. Meaning it was 1000% avoidable. I understand why people blame the government for conspiracy’s. But our president can barley talk. I doubt he or the military has a weapons program, solely for starting fires.

Soo its just burning the houses and cars and not the trees? That’s interesting how is that possible?
@HandleTakenlol3 ай бұрын
It's not possible neither is it possible for that fire to spread up wind, it is also impossible that they did not have it out in one hour. These fire crews are in it for the money and the loot they can steal from people's houses.

How do so many people not know California native trees are fire resistant 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 who was your science teacher? As a botanist from this area I wanna go slap them with baby powder. California is literally world famous for trees like redwoods , sequioa ; and oaks who have lived and survived fire for MILLIONS of years
@Salty8013 ай бұрын
@@sacramentofoodforest Fire capable of melting metals such as titanium exceeds 4000 degrees Fahrenheit. In comparison, the temperatures associated with flash burns from trees are significantly lower, typically ranging between 1200 and 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. Mr. Botanist, it would be beneficial to take some fire science courses to understand that the temperatures associated with the flash burns of trees are significantly lower than those required to melt these metals. There's no need for the baby powder, son. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

So many here blaming Gov. Newsome or forest management. Most of these fires are human caused: people cooking outdoors, a tossed cigarette, camp fires when banned, spark from a vehicle. Those are some examples of how these fires start. Same issue all over the west and in the dryer, drought areas. Same issue here in Nevada. Just had a few, human caused.

While I agree in general with your sentiment, this area in particular has had two devastating fires caused by: 1) PGE (paradise Camp fire) and 2) lightning fires in which USFS tried to turn into control burn but mismanaged due to winds... (2020 north complex fire) So the comments are pretty accurate.
