The Movies did a very good job downgrading Thor's power, with account to dragging psychological events to down his strength. It's a job well down cause if they didn't how perverted would he be and how would they even have enemies, a super focused Thor the rune king defeated Galactus, The Beyonder, and many many powerful existences. What enemy would even rival one super Thor? That's also a Thor in berserk mode, the one that becomes a Thousand times stronger. Even a depressed Thor cut Thanos who had all Infinity stones in his boxing glove. That storm breaker rivaled the power of the Infinity gauntlet and overpowered it down to slash Thanos shoulder, even Thanos said he should've gone for the head. At least this Thor gives a chance for an avenger unity to accommodate him.
