This is a timely video, thank you so much. However my idler wheel mechanism is tight on all speeds very similar to your selection for 16rpm. Do you have instructions on how to take this mechanism off the table in order to clean and lubricate properly? Thanks

Thats a cool tone arm. Same age as the good early edition dual 1009 and Garrard 3000. I did a luxman px-101, sl-qx200, and a yamaha yp-211 the last couple days. Been slow. Luxman is cool. Linear tracker with 1/2" headshell. Mp110 on it now. Glad you are back making vids. The smell of 3 in 1 lingers for eternity. Makes me wanna vomit.

It is stinky, but what a great lubricant.

Out of interest, why did you not clean the platter where it engages with the idler wheel, it gets very dirty. Also why did you not oil the bottom bearing on the motor or any of the linkages underneath?

I did. Thought the camera was on, but it was on pause.

Hey Mr Turntable Guy. I own a 3rd generation Audio Visual repair company called John Thomas Electrical in a town called Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. We do many restorations of old and new Turntables, Radiograms and valve radios. We generally have no problems with the old changers but I currently have a COLLARO 3RC 531 that is giving me trouble. I have it working 99% correctly except for one issue. It will go through its complete auto cycle but when it lifts off at the completion of the record it returns to the rest position but will not lower back down onto the rest. I am happy to up load a video of it functioning if you are interesting in helping us out with any suggestions. I look forward to hearing back from you Thank you for your time. Bryan Thomas

Hello. I haven't personally worked on that model. Most auto return mechanisms have a piston that is triggered by a cam to lift and lower the arm. If I were to guess, there could be some sticky old grease that is not allowing the arm to lower at the end of its cycle. Good luck.
