Definitely a song worth learning. Love descending little licks like that! Never heard this song before your LLB performance...really like it. All these Black Crowes posts have made this week a good one! Thanks for posting and have a Happy and Safe Labor Day weekend!

Think I've made up my mind to -steal- learn this from you. Had never heard it until LLB did it. Pull this off acoustic at a campfire and you are a hero!

What is the lowest note you are hitting? Do you have the 5th string tuned to something different than an A?

I have a question for you. In most of your tutorials there are many cases, are the guitars in them? I have read that it is always best to keep them in the case but , you can find anything to support any theory on the internet. Most of mine hang on the wall a lot of the time on hangers, and i manage the humidity in the studio, because i feel like its easier to manage the room than inside the individual cases. What are your thoughts on this? Sorry to put you on the spot, but i respect your opinion!

i appreciate the question and really enjoyed your post! I live in KY where the winters get pretty dry and as you mentioned i fight low humidity all winter. I humidify my 'guitar room' and keep it around 50-55% humidity throughout the winter dry months. I keep all of my guitars in their cases during the winter but don't add any additional humidifiers in the cases unless i feel one of the acoustics is getting too dry (fret ends on fingerboard). In the summer and non dry months i keep a couple of the guitars on stands in my guitar room. I like your idea of having them out of cases because i find i grab them more often that way. So i kind of rotate them on the stands so i play them but i don't have enough stands or room to have them all out. Honestly i don't have a great reason for keeping them all in cases in dry months other than it's a habit and i somehow feel they are more controlled that way - keeping them out in a humidified room IMO is perfectly fine and you get to enjoy seeing them and i'm more likely to grab them and play. hope this makes some sense!

@@tonedr I live in FL on the beach and I've found that if I don't keep my guitars in the case, the salt air, even though I feel my place A/C'd, drastically reduces string life. So I keep my guitars in the case always.
