Another trip down memory lane. Muskegon is my home town. That branch is a shadow of its former self. I was in high school when the passenger trains got axed for Amtrak. Rode the last one from Holland to Muskegon on April 30, 1971. Your videos are awesome 👌

Excellent video, thank you for posting this. I love seeing what this territory looks like, since for me, they're just lines on an old CSX Time Table printout & 700 miles away from me.

Another excellent video . Always enjoy your good balance of top quality video and audio mix . Your work makes me feel I could just reach out , grab a handrail and, hop aboard for a ride . Well done and keep crankin' em out .

15:16 No wonder they were walking through there, that section of rail looks as it if was abandoned and I wouldn't be surprised if they thought it was. Thanks for they video!

I live in Grand Haven and I never really realized how bad the tracks are through town... I also would have loved for you to follow the coal train from the power plant North of Holland as I do it know much about it and would love to have a fun length video of that train and their operations

This video is perfect and just in time to help me plan a few days of railfanning this area. Unfortunately, my home area of Traverse City doesn't offer more than a single engine pulling a few lumber cars. Thanks, Alex!

Those tracks in grand haven definitely need some maintenance! Probably don’t get enough traffic to make it worthwhile

Great video and thank you for the information too. I work along the tracks in Zeeland and have always wondered how they operate between GR, Holland, and Chicago. Used to live along the rails north of holland and always wondered if that bridge in Grand Haven got used. Now, I’m near the railroad that parallels 131. Where do they mainly operate, and how many cars/why are stored in the Kentwood/Wyoming yard? I feel like I never see them move. Thanks for the video, and I look forward to seeing more!

Ahh thanks for spotting the typo. At first I thought you were correcting pronunciation but I was struggling to think of when I said it in the narration! Fixed it :)

@@Bhil3 I work for a steel com[any and we get trains in all the time. Maybe four or five cars sometime 13 or 14 inside our place. I just amazed that the little flange on those wheels keeps those car on the tracks. The I have thought and come to the conclusion that the trains wheel are pushing down on the tracks instead of pushing out on the tracks unless going to fast which give the wheels more of a possibility to derail. Its the small things I look at like bouncing engines, bad tracks, tree over hang. I love trains and the clickety clack of the wheels.
