I wear Georgia logger boots every day for 12+ hours. They’re great. Steel toe, everything proof, have 400 gram insulation, steel shank in the arch. Somehow breathable in the heat and feel like a warm hug in the winter. No matter the brand you should be happy to put your boots on in the morning, if you’re not, you’re either in the wrong boots or the wrong job!

I bought a pair of Thorogood steel toes for auto mechanic work. Standing on concrete all day, getting exposed to all kinds of chemicals, and they did pretty good. They’ve always been pretty comfortable, and stayed warm in the winter months. A fast hook at the top popped off, other than that I think it’s a pretty well made boot.

Commercial/industrial roofer in Chicago, my soft leather thorogoods are on year 2 now(non steel toe) and they have been exposed to nasty chemicals like naphtha and excess heat from torches n stuff and I constantly kick ISO boards into square and the leather drags across abrasive fiberglass a whole lot, they are a tad beat up toes are covered in shoe goo, but other than that they are water proof still, and damn comfy I do 12+ hour days regularly in them hot or cold... plenty of grip on ladders and wet/snow/icy surfaces would buy another pair for 190 at farm and fleet in a heartbeat..

I first bought the non steel toe 90 degree angle pair. I'm going on two years with them they are still holding up perfect. After they break in you can't find a better pair of boots or shoes for that matter that feel as good. Six months ago I bought a steel-toed pair for my job that requires. Just like any good quality boot breaking was a little tough for a week or two. I wear these boots 60 +hours a week they hold up. The souls are tough but they wear down but that's the price you pay for the squishy comfort. Like the soft toe once broke in they are the only thing I want on my feet. I did go with different insoles with better arch support. By the way if you put a little oil and clean those up you can send them in and get the 90 degree angle on them so you don't have to go through the break-in. Thorogood will replace the souls and make them look as good as they can for a little over $100 that's not a bad price to not go to the break-in again

I do notice the way I walk dragging my heal wears down the sole but other then that I clean them up and apply mink oil every so often. Change the inserts or laces when needed. I’m a Union piledriver. All US made and both companies have good recrafting/resoling programs. A nice old lady downtown does my moc toes, though. I prefer Vibram soles because I rip through the regular Thorogood soles. If you send in for resoling to either plan on about 6 weeks. My Quarry boots are better in ice and snow. Occasionally cleaning them up with saddle soap, oil, wax and weatherproofing will make em last a lot longer.

I am on my second pair of 8-inch Moc Toe wedge sole. My first ones were steel toe, these are not. These are both lighter and more comfortable. I started wearing wedge sole boots, when I was pulling tanker trailers. Climbing around on the catwalk up on top, a high heel boot nearly brought me down two or three times. Wedge soles are less of a trip hazard, in that sort of situation. They are sort of equivalent to an "on "on-road," tire, however. I'm leaning toward getting a pair of logger boots, four times when more traction, more insulation, or waterproof traits are required. They will probably be Thorogood, however.

I will never buy a wedge sole again as i work in construction outside and it slips on anything. However, if I think of just the boot it fares much better. So i bought the 804 4378 and a much, much better experience. I got over a year on each boot but the wedge wore wierd and made me walk funny. The 4378 was just fine, and although i do like the Red Wing more, this boot holds its own but I will see if it makes me change from the Red Wing..

I love my Thorogoods. You can definitley get a couple years out of them, and more if you resole them. I prefer the heritage, non-waterproof style beacuse they don't have a liner and are less hot/easier to break in. If you don't need the steel toe, the non-safety toe feels considerably lighter. Thorogood also makes a new slip on, but my feet are too narrow to use them. The only boot I've found that's a little better quality (but harder to break in) is the White's Perry or Red Wing Heritage moc toe, which are both considerably pricier.

I’m on my 2nd pair.... The 1st lasted about 2 1/2 years of general construction work... lots of shoveling and kicking stuff ... My 2nd pair is going on 8 months.... I genuinely like lace up better then slip on. This pair is also non wedge sole... feels like it grips ladder rungs better but could snag on something of your walking beams or iron work... I do metal roofing ... Pretty comfortable boot . Actually my favorite boot I’ve had

I've had my red wings for going on 3 years. Probably get another year out of them. Steel toe, steel shank, high tops, leather. Still are more comfortable than sneakers. In fact when I go walking I wear these boots! $289.99

Had both wedge AS WELL as the MAXWear 90 heel, and I will say, the heel is better for roofers (Steel building welder here) but...they pronate baaaaaad, even with orthopedic correcting soles. I basically trashed the ones with the heel since they are so pronated, it's a shame but they offer no use anymore. Wedges have lasted much longer (going on 1 year, already been resoled once), whereas the heels by 6 months, NuShoe told me they were not repairable. I work hard, and occasionally abuse my boots, but nothing crazy. I take care of my wedges and they're still walking strong. Thorogood for life. If you work in the mud/wet concrete cutting area, I recommend their WP wellingtons, just don't treat them like you would the American Heritages, they just aren't as tough, though I must say, very comfortable for pull ons.

Wonderful video. I have a quick question about those boots. I work for the city I live in with the utilities like the water, but mainly sewer. Would you recommend these boots for a job like that? Sometimes my boots will be submerge in sewer. Great channel!! God bless y'all.

A good way to break in a new pair of boots is to weight them down and soak them over night submerged in water,I just used my bath tub and then the next day just wear them,it sucks starting out the day with wet boots but as they dry they conform to your feet

My justin square toe is my other favorite boots. They last me for a couple years at a time. I walk on railroad blast and they super hard on boots.

Hell Austin , as union hand you only got 3 months of use on them boots in your 1 year review! At that rate you should get 5 to 6 years use. Like your channel, keep up the good videos.

I only been wearing Timberlands Pro. They are good boots but I am looking into purchasing a Wolverine brand work boot. The latest one I seen online is the Wolverine - Hellcat Ultraspring Carbonmax 6” work boot.

Not really in the same arena but I have a pair of hiking boots that I bought in 1978! Just had them resoled last year. I wear them mostly in the winter and of course when I go hiking.

My first steel toe is made in bangladesh. I bought a 6" floorhand wolverines. So far so good. I live near the border of tijuana mexico and people usually just wear sneakers everywhere.

Thorogood boots have been the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. I will see how long they last.

I've been wearing the same pair for 2 months shy of 4 years. They are worn everyday farming, metal working and landscaping. They have been re-soled, and cleaned by a cobbler. I also had the tongue repaired on one of the boots. If there was one thing I would do differently, it would be a full gusset on the tongue to keep dirt and trash out of the boot.

How much does a re sole and cleaning cost? And is the new sole the same as original?
