I'm freakin stoked..! I thought I lost all these videos you've done, and spent the night searching, I'm starting my H3 over the next few weeks and REALLY needed to find these..! EXCELLENT work, and thanks for being cool enough to share this..!

I have complete kits, partial kits, DIY or installed by me. All custom built to order. I typically use Eaton E-lockers in the solid axles....just like the one in the factory ifs.

Nice job. The draglink and track bar angles are perfect. What didn't you like about the johnny joints that you're going to swap out the rear ones with bushings? I noticed the bumpstops are fairly close to the pads. 3 inches? Do they hit entering driveways?

How did you make the drive shaft?

Price can vary quite a bit....$3500 for a DIY-build, junkyard axle...to $14,000 for a full-custom, all-new axle, done at my shop...drop off stock and pick up a beast.

Is there any way I could purchase a dvd/series of dvds from you of everything you have posted thus far? I want to begin doing some serious modifications to make my H3 more capable than the way it is stock. I haven't done anything yet it is still stock.

I know of about 10 or so solid axle H3's...some are using my parts/kits and others are scratch-built. Glad to hear you are going solid. It will make your H3 the truck you always thought it could be.

Are you still building H3's?
@4speedfunk2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Starting a new Alpha build next Monday.
@OHT_EDTZzZ132 жыл бұрын
@@4speedfunk man I have an 06 H3 that I want you to build. However not sure if I should go with the 3.5 or get an alpha. Either way I do not have the fabrication skill set to do myself. What's your schedule look like in builds? I do appreciate your input and time. Thanks

Any Dana 44 or Corp 10 bolt from a 73-91 GM truck fits great. Contact me thru THORparts and I can get you the ABS hubs.

What kind of axle, and brake is on that front? I'm curious.
@4speedfunk7 жыл бұрын
Axle is a stock GM Dana 44. Brakes are stock H3 with THORparts caliper adapter brackets and ABS hubs.

4speedfunk Is there any chance that Dana 60 could work?
@4speedfunk7 жыл бұрын
Yeah...I know a couple of guys that have done similar swaps with a D60. It's wider, heavier, and doesn't turn as sharp. (And way more $$$).
