I'm so lucky to be only 30 minutes away from a world class theme park! Over the years I've been continuously disappointed by Alton Towers, it used to be my favourite but now thorpe is. I wish for Alton towers to up their game! I miss it being my favourite park. But for now thorpe takes the cake!!

I'm with you on that. Was at Thorpe Park last Tuesday then at Alton Towers today and I definitely now prefer Thorpe Park. In fact I also think Towers is a disappointment like Blackpool Pleasure definitely is!

I also love colossus for the amazing airtime on the final heartline rolls and I agree about keeping your head forward, but I did still notice my shoulder hurting a bit after the second ride. Still my favourite at the park but I’ll also look forward to the day they finally listen to the thousands of comments begging for Sik’s lap bars

Did my 2nd Saturday of the year at Alton yesterday and definitely saw some of that weather there too! Made operations pretty brutal, not helped by other non wind affected rides being down, but we stuck it out and got some good rides in late in the day. Went to Thorpe today and got glorious sunshine and low winds, pretty successful day doing all coasters but Colossus in a 5hr trip. Added 4 credits too (aiming to get from 110 to 200 this year) after an awful visit around 15 years ago. As a first time AP I can't wait to get back for Hyperia!

The only UK wing coaster thing. Just thought I'd 'help Shawn out' with that one and assume he meant the classic full-circuit type, as technically, B&M may consider the shuttle-type a separate model. Everyone knows Shawn is well aware of Mandril Mayhem, but we can all slip up of course, whatever Shawn meant, his rider count means a lot more than any internet based research, so I listen to him with respect, despite my decades of internet research of coasters going back to 2001. Great Vlog, looks like a lot of bad luck mainly for opening day with the weather.

Top Tip For Colossus When You Next Ride: Queue For Front Row, It’s A Longer Wait, But A Smoother Ride!

Finally in a Theme Park Worldwide video lol twice, once with my friend while filming my own video with my friend at 10:16 and the other time outside Nemesis Inferno at 33:44. Really good video, yeah day was not good with weather, this is why they need 100% more indoor attractions, rides, coasters and even lands? Be open all year aswell very useful weather related. Got evacuated off the Tidal Wave in station a few times due to weather and hail stones to the point was considering just walking away and trying another ride, but then weather was ok & we went up the hill & down the drop, got drenched. Can see what Charlotte now means with water going over your head lol. Absolutely drenched lol, 100% in the cold, don't go on Tidal Wave, it was freezing, keep it for summer and emergency cool down lol. Ghost Train went on, was good, acting was good, effects were good, story everything really enjoyed. Wasn't sure about it at first, but more story unraveled, really enjoyed 100%. Didn't ride & experience many rides, coasters, but apart from weather, had a good day, filmed a lot of footage for my own channel DJS Official UK. Also, meeting you both and getting a picture outside Stealth made my day, cheers for that, both were really nice. Sad for what happened with Stealth going down, but good moment came out of it. Cheers for that moment and cheers for vlog, look forward to Drayton Manor vlog tomorrow & more vlogs in future. 😀👍

The Park is looking really good, lovely and clean and fresh. Loving the logo and entrance. Hyperia does look awesome doesn't it, you can feel the excitement in your voices for when it's going to open later in the season. What a good idea to give priority passes out if a ride has to close and you've been queuing for ages, these would be good at Alton Towers ! Good job you used it on Saw before the weather turned nasty - it looked awful, you poor things😢 Glad the sun came out later, pity about the Swarm ride. I've never actually been to Thorpe Park but it looks very well set out, my son will be visiting in the summer. Charlotte's reaction when you mentioned Tidal Wave was hilarious 😂 I knew she would be checking the pick n mix out too lol. Just love your vlogs on the Parks they are very professional, fun and informative with very good, honest coverage. Keep up the good work both ❤

really enjoying the opening day vlogs you and charlotte are the best! the wind was the same at towers i went on the 23rd and lots of the rides closed witch lead to big waits we managed to get on 6 rides witch was pretty good 2 of them was nemesis reborn witch didn’t seem to close at all. Hyperia looks great, and it will be the ride that finally gets me to make the trip back to Thorpe park. I hope they have rows to accommodate larger riders, similar to the back row of Icon! The only issue I can see with Hyperia is its total track length and ride time being too short. Hopefully each of the elements pack enough of a punch to make up for it!

I really hope that once Hyperia is open due to the hight that they give people notice on the website if it will be open on the day due to the weather or if too windy. So you don’t waste your time going all the way down there and it’s closed because it’s too windy

Diaaspointing news yesterday, Merlin is to introduce Surge Pricing across all of its UK attractions. As if times are not hard enough for families. With all the extra money though maybe they can finally build a real huge beast of a coaster packed with airtime (RMC 🙏) at one of it's UK parks instead of the constant stream of 40 Second mid size ones!
