I would think it's mainly because upgrades for air units are seperate from the upgrades for mech units. To keep the units effective you need to spend extra time and resources.

Mostly not common because the army is super expensive and takes forever to build or rebuild. So if terran takes one bad fight they usually just die unless T is way ahead in eco (like this game)

Its because its expensive comp and losing bc or thor to a viper with some hydra or mass marines is not cost effective

@@Althemor Yea,I remember back in Hearth of the swarm,switching between BCs and Thors was just so much easier due to shared upgrades.

It's a slow (to build and move), inefficient composition that can easily get outmanoeuvred and wrecked by lower-tier units if you're not careful. There's not much reason to progress beyond Tier 2 for Terrans in the majority of games.

Such a sick army comp, never thought about mixing in BCs with mech. Makes sense since they essentially tank any hydra/corruptor fire, leaving the tanks and ravens to do whatever they want

@@rompevuevitos222 thats more like a one shot of a unit than just a grab (if you have viper you have support under it ) i think the need a little CD on the grab

@@nietbasxoudenh3772 The only thing it does is make it easier for your army to target it, you still need to spend DPS on it and have an army to begin with Compare it with the raven's missile, a flat +3 damage increase for the whole army without any further input from their part that lasts a while and affects VARIOUS enemy units Or defensive Matrix that just disables a unit at range regardless of if you have a good army or not AND is cheaper

@@TheBikeOnTheMoon They can deal damage over time to a single air unit and more if they clump up (wich can be negated with micro) it can't kill most air units anyway so it's just a softening tool AND takes a fixed time, in the meantime you have psionic storm wich is faster, hits ground units too and comes from a relatively cheaper unit (and they don't need to use HP from a structure to enable said spell) Raven's missile is even better

Honestly the real question is how the hell did Silky end up in WCS in the first place. Mech Terran vs Zerg is a common match up and this guy fucked it up so bad I thought I was watching some gold MMR gameplay. Oh wait Silky is from NA. Now it makes sense.

Late game TvZ incredibly broken in favor of Terran. Hydras are the best choice against this yet Zerg 1.5 tier unit melts to this composition. What makes this worse is Nathanial’s fanboy Terran heavy bias casting. Disgusting. He sounded like a T supporter fanboy instead of a professional caster.
