the story from the Old Guard's pov: "After we made it through the church, we stumbled upon a barricaded door. I felt like it wasn't a good idea to just open it, so I went to the cannons with 2 other Britanniques. They got into position as I reload the cannons. I looked at the chaplain, followed by an infantry man approaching the door as I go: "wait don't!". It was too late, the infantry man broke the door. But the chaplain managed to push those cannibals back with his trusty crucifix, and the infantry man probably backing up because he was scared. I went: "WHAT THE DEVIL!?!?" and turned to the Britanniques, trying to make them fire the cannons to assist the chaplain. They were just standing there, unmoving?! I tried pulling them off the cannon to fire it myself, but no avail. I turned around again, only to see that the chaplain himself, is dead. Eaten by those cannibals. And the infantry man dalso dead with his eyes opened wide, he defenitely got his throat torn off... "Hey, get off the cannon!" - I said. As I look at the direction of the cannibals, terrified. They ran into us.. I'm not giving up, For France!" And then everything gets surrounded by pitch darkness, no one knows if the Frenchman can make it out alive or not.

This happened to me like 2 days ago💀 It happened on san Sebastián where the haybale part is, i played priests, died 7 times on 7 different rounds, and only 1 being cause i rushed, 3 blind eye unsuccessful death, and 2 from bomber being shot while i was near, and the last 2 were because my team let me get eaten by shamblers. But every goddam time on the haybale part ill aways say " 1 person on lift to get haybale" but there is sometimes 2, 3, 4, 5 down there, found this sh** real annoying💀
