Yeah! As a side note, as someone who learned English, it is easier for me to say librarian right than library. Because in librarian, both 'r''s is emphasized, so it's easy to nail it. But in library, the first 'r' is not emphasized, and it is squished between two emphasized syllables, it's really hard to say the 'r' right without being sounding weird, and if I am not careful enough, it's easy to "skip" the r if I am tongue tied.

Yeah, I'm told that mispronunciation is usually a sign that someone learned a word from reading, and thus might not be that worthy of disrespect. (though then again, a few of the things said in the skit probably aren't from this kind of misconception, I don't see anyone seeing the word "library" and reading it as 'libary".

I'm not a mother tongue (you can guess it from my name), coukd you help me? I'm struggling because it seems to me the two terms are used without any rule by native speakers. I would say that "I" is used when the speaker is the subject of the sentence, while "me" when the speaker is thebdirect objective or part of a prepositional phrase. What about the nominal predicate?

OMG the “exspecially” kills me when I hear it! Side note: I make jewelry for a living & have a relative that likes to repost my work on social media (it’s a sweet gesture, she’s trying to help spread the love) but she keeps spelling the word “necklace” as “neckless” 😂😅…. “Check out my niece’s neckless!” ….. 😮

I think you are just speaking Philly being that I grew up in that area. It's basically it's own dialect of mispronunciation here. That is why we pronounce the Eagles as Iggles here. We sometimes even write it in the paper as the Iggles to match our pronunciation. We say Warder or Wooder for Water. It can drive many people mad as the list goes on how we say most things different lol.

AAAARRRGHHHH! These are the same people who say "literally" when they mean "figuratively": it's LITERALLY the OPPOSITE of how you are using it! Well played.

I agree with that guy, I didn't go on a second date because she kept using the word " Ax" instead of ask.
