I never experienced this song in real time, but my dad always introduced me to these very cool bands from his youth and Smashing Pumpkins is one amongst the many that have stuck with me forever. He was a good person, thank you pops. And this version just makes me miss him even more, it's beautiful, thank you guys

My goodness. I was 20 years old when this song was released, one of the best times of my life, and the Smashing Pumpkins were a huge part of it. The nostalgia flooded back with your rendition in the same way as the original. You guys absolutely did this song justice and then some. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much! 😊

One of the best live covers I've seen. The entire band is absolutely spot on, and having an actual string section is pretty epic. But the singer is really amazing. He nails all the little inflections that make Billy Corgan's voice recognizable, like a great impression on top of being a very talented and polished singer. All the little details like the fade off mic on "the less you feel..." Just a solid freaking cover. Nice job.

Listened to this about a hundred times. Love bringing the guitars forward with a more overdriven sound but maintaining with the rhythm and getting all the little nuances and accent notes that get thrown in that are hard for an untrained ear to pick up. Drummer was an absolute machine on this. The prechorus and outro are almost a marching band style snare work and if you’re not completely consistent in time and tempo the song can completely fall apart into a jumbled mess. He didn’t miss a beat.

thanks for the incredibly kind words! this was a tough song to work with. the recorded arrangement is about as close to perfect as you can get in terms of conveying the emotion of the lyrics and melodies. we didn't want to tamper with it too much, but wanted to offer something just a little different. haha he's certainly a machine! one of the loudest and heaviest drummers you will fine! you can check out his KZbin channel here: kzbin.info

As someone who was as fanatically obsessed with SP in the late 90s as only 13 year olds tend to be (so much so that I acquired live bootlegs by sending money in the mail to strangers on message boards), your voice inflection was so accurate to Billy singing live that I immediately felt like I was in the 7th grade listening to a cassette tape that I got by sending two blank tapes and 3 dollar bills to a man named Mike in New Jersey.

That's a powerful song, listened to Smashing in the 90s, as a teenager, it really made us think "the impossible is possible"! You've nailed it and having an orchestra present gave a lot of meaning to the cover, I liked the contrast of a rock band and classic instruments. I also like all the pedals displaying on your feet, you got to do a lot of work with them! Good job! Ciao from Italy!
