Thank you Kraig making this video. I obsessed with the Mae Hong Son Loop video that you made. Travel it should be very chill and slow down the footstep, the first time I watch the Mae Hong Son loop, I like the moment that you capture, explaining, exploring, also very obsessed with the moment that start from 8:00 - 8:57 from the Mae Hong Son video, I was searching the music, apparently the playlist in musicbed recommend of Kraig Adams doesn't show what is the name of the song. And I glad that you make this video, so now I know the song name was Fireflies by Timbre in 0:57. Thank you Kraig, I know you more into hiking recently, hopefully can see more this kind of travel video from you again. Thank you for inspiring me, thank you Kraig, and musicbed.

Hey great stuff man! You really get it about how awesome it feels to live off a small motorbike in remote areas. I traveled solo on a motorbike in Vietnam in 2016 and it was the most fun I have ever had. You have inspired me to organize my GoPro footage and edit my own travel videos. I am planning a new motorbike trip this summer-I will take more footage this time! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the great breakdown Kraig. I'm glad you get to talk about the process & your thoughts as it gives us a look into your perspective. Hopefully, you make it up to the Yukon this summer & enjoy the slow & quiet life. I'd suggest making a detour to Atlin & Carcross, BC as well as Haines, AK. Cheers.

I had a lot of trouble figuring out what to film and what not to film during a recent trip to the UK (which I'll be posting in vlog form soon), and I wish I would have watched this video first! This will definitely help with my next travel vlog, thanks for posting your process! I also loved your point about documenting instead of creating, I've been trying to live by that mantra lately.

Thanks for sharing the BTS! You have the EXACT same gear that I'm bringing with me on my around the world trip starting next month, where I'll be documenting the journey as I go, and I absolutely love the look and style of your videos, which gives me hope I can match even a fraction of your quality. Thanks again!

When you thought to shoot, what you were thinking when shooting, how you choose your music, how you apply music to the video, what you're thinking while you apply music, your thought process when trying to evoke emotions during your video. Like do you try to recapture the emotion you felt? Or was it more of a trying to create an emotion in us after rewatching the footage? Thanks so much for uploading this!! Love the content

when will FCPX create a one button click that detaches audio, expands the front and back by 4 frames, and then creates the cross fade. That needs to be a thing. Also, would love to "interview" you on the next one, ask questions to guide the tutorial, etc.

Thanks for doing this! Great work! Not only great vlog but watching you doing this is like learning a language, very informative and clear. My question would be, how do you organize your footage before you start editing? You must have a plan in mind, so would it rather be technical order, like type of footage, perspectives, movements or more motives?
@-grey5 жыл бұрын
How do you template out your day to reduce over shooting? What points and markers are you looking for as well as food and coffee? What are some typical shots that you go every time to keep in the pocket to connect moments together? I really want to get into filming my travels, but I think I will spend a lot of time failing, shooting banal and uninteresting stuff that doesn't link, or define the passage of time. So yeah, are there any tent pole type moments that allow the space between for experimentation, while keeping a coherent forward motion?

Been following your content for a while Craig, since you wedding days! I must say I like your sense of humour and awesome videos, myself I am still a rookie on filmmaking, (yes they are shitty videos lol) but I am struggling to learn every day. That said, I have a question, why the hell sometimes when I upload videos to KZbin they are with amazing clean quality and others noisy, grainy and falling apart lol... I know we have to be careful with the rule of shutter etc.. But I just uploaded a video and it’s crap lol... I used a a7iii with 16-35mm F4 only at F8 almost all the time lol. Really sad I haven’t got this figured. Thanks in advanced and keep up the amazing content.

Lecturing video. However, when I've documented my travel films, I design it in my mind as a "vlog", following different things that I experienced during the travel. But the music determines most of my cuts, how do I come out of that mindset? In my mind I feel that each time a beat drops or something specific in the music, I've to cut.. It feel natural to cut during a melodic part. Can you talk a bit about that?

This was insanely valuable. Love these deconstructions. Quick question. How long do the various phases of the editing process take you? Eg.
