Thoughts on Bug Chaps

Rambling on about my limited experience with some bug chaps I whipped up before my last canoe trip.

Interesting concept. For my backpacking trips, I tend to use nylon pants with the zip off legs that turn them into shorts.

I do the same, but I find the zippers to be a PITA and more than likely only have the legs on for sun protection while canoeing, and even then I don't zip them I just pull them up to my knees. I prefer shorts to pants but these a a reasonable compromise if its buggy.
