Vlad was definitely setting Lecrae up. But, Lecrae did himself no favors in that interview. If you're going to be on a channel like Vlad's then you have to be ready. And Lecrae isn't new to this. He's been on mainstream outlets for years. Yet he still seems like he doesn't know what to say. I really hope you interview him. It'd be nice to see an interview where Lecrae isn't giving vague answers.

Lecrae was caught off guard by the trip attempt. His point of “give grace and space to listen and learn” was his best way to get his footing in the moment. Vlad’s questions were a drama push, and Lecrae-obviously caught off guard-ended up clapping back with a good closing thought: if someone doesn’t believe in Jesus, why ask the Christian perspective?

If you ain’t witnessing shut up! We don’t have to have an opinion on everything just because we are Christians. If you ask me is Jesus the way the truth and the life I’ll say yes 100% apart from that I don’t owe you any other opinion. 🤷🏾‍♂️ There’s a clear scripture that says “don’t cast your pearls upon swine, otherwise the same people will trample on you” In this particular interview Vlad was swine and Lecrae didn’t need to cost any pearls. In fact what did Jesus do in this type of situation. When the Pharisees tried to trap him? He asked them a trick question back, and said “well if you’re not gonna answer my questions then I won’t answer yours” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:28-33‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “They demanded, “By what authority are you doing all these things? Who gave you the right to do them?” “I’ll tell you by what authority I do these things if you answer one question,” Jesus replied. “Did John’s authority to baptize come from heaven, or was it merely human? Answer me!” They talked it over among themselves. “If we say it was from heaven, he will ask why we didn’t believe John. But do we dare say it was merely human?” For they were afraid of what the people would do, because everyone believed that John was a prophet. So they finally replied, “We don’t know.” And Jesus responded, “Then I won’t tell you by what authority I do these things.””

I love how nobody’s condemning Lecrae here. So many people love to act like their Mr. Super Christian and would’ve done better than Lecrae in that situation. Lecrae is only human like the rest of us. No, I don’t agree with everything he did in the interview, but it’s clear that Vlad was manipulating the interview. I’m glad that people recognize that and how these comments are defending him as a BROTHER in Christ and not throwing him to the wolves like other so-called Christians do. My issue with Lecrae is that he strikes me as one of those Christians that kind of wants to have there cake and eat it to. He wants that world validation while holding on to his Christianity. I'm honestly tired of "famous" Christians getting on these platforms with folk that probably don't even respect there faith to begin with, let alone agree with it, and when it come time to speak up when asked a question that God's Word is very clear about, they decide to side step and dance around the question and basically say a whole lot without saying anything that could generate a lot of negative attention or could jeopardize there career. Meanwhile you have other people that come on the Vlad show and are bold and more than willing to speak against "religion" which in most cases there really just speaking against truths of God's Word. Folks talk about Christ hanging with the sinners but if they actually go and look closer at those accounts, it talks about the sinners COMING TO HIM, to learn of him and the Gospel, and of course he did not refuse them. It just seems like he's become a friend of the world. May God continue to work on him just like any other child of his!

Jake Jon So I actually just watched one of the interview clips, and to be honest, it was almost cringe worthy. He sounded so unprepared and unwilling to just tell the God’s honest truth. I agreed with him towards the end in terms of him wanting to get an understanding of whether or not a person even believes in Jesus or the Bible before he would answer there question.

We as Christians have a responsibility to preach the Gospel of Christ. Of the Kingdom. Any other subject is up to our discretion whether we want to speak on it. I agree with you about there not really being a good way for Lecrae to engage with that interview. I wish he would've never agreed to it in the first place. There are some people out there, like VladTV who aren't interested in having a legitimate interview/conversation, they want to frame conversations a certain way. He would have asked a question and listened long enough to hear a buzzword and then he would jump onto something else without giving Lecrae a chance to expound on what he's saying. I think whoever is working with him has to get better at vetting appropriate people to give interviews to. Having read his book and listen to him speak several times, I know what he's capable; however, he seems to keep allowing himself to get put into these types of scenarios that are a "no-win" situation for him. Hopefully, he will respond to your request and grant an interview because I feel like you would ask really great questions and allow him the time/space to flesh things out appropriately.

Jasmine Jones Lecrae is a “nice guy” but there is a time that we need to grow up and be “good guys” Jesus was not a nice guy he told too much truth to be deemed as nice. he was a good guy (and obviously the son of God) But I truly believe that if we pray Lecrae will come through this and one else whatever else is in store for him stronger than ever. His faith and be restored as he is clearly still in restoration and people like Vlad will not be able to mess with him. Well many people talk about not being friends with the world, it usually comes across negatively but I think Ruslan summed it up when he said something to the effect of “these people aren’t for you”. When we realise that there are snakes in the grass and that we are sheep amongst wolves will start moving shrewd like snakes and innocent like Doves.

I don't get the folks in the comments-some of y'all though. And Ruslan, if you want to talk about something, at least watch it, and if you won't then I humbly suggest you don't talk about it. Also, Lecrae did well with the question about Chick Fil-A CEO. He didn't give a direct answer, he said he couldn't tell and that it's best to have conversations about these things than take what someone says just like that and run with it. I don't like Vlad as well, but I think Crae is willing to walk through hell to bring folks out of there, and it's not an easy journey especially with a judgemental fanbase. And more than seeing some of his moves as a press run, I see them as outreaches. I see him reaching out to the audience of as many platforms as he can and as many as will want to take him on. If he want to sell records and not reach the lost, then he would just focus on a Christian fanbase and be the rap version of Hillsong United but he has a different mission in my opinion. And he appears on Christian platforms as well-Trackstarz, Wade-O, Truth Table. Lastly, maybe I'm tripping but, Ruslan you haven't in any way promoted Restoration on your platform. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, KZbin, nothing. You made a catching 9 mins video about Lecrae not stealing a song from Echelon Knoxx and that was it. And how it was done was more so to promote your platform than it was to promote Crae's album. And I get it, it's Jon Keith's day or week or year. Antihero, good album (FYI, Lecrae-in his IG story-and many Reach artist posted about AntiHero on their social media). But you were doing the same good old exploiting that Vlad is doing. And that's how I see it. Everyone is exploiting everyone. Only God knows those who beyond money is doing all these for the kingdom. Personally, I'd say Lecrae is doing it for the kingdom and I have receipts but then again, I'm a big fan of his.
