these random vlogs have been fun to listen to. when it comes to pick up videos i think they can be fun but the problem is most people dont know how to make them interesting. like most people will just show off the stuff without saying much and you can tell they dont care about it unless its rare or valuable or if they do talk about the game they just read off a wiki page. but i think people like Tylord do a good job telling you a story about whatever it is and what he likes about the movie/game and its fun to listen to. and same goes for collection videos where i like them but many just dont show a personality and brain did a good job with his recent NES collection. we need more like them lol

At a point after watching a lot of those those videos you start to see how fake and for production and number of views a great deal of them are. Life is never stagnant. We all change. It was inevitable that KZbin would change. Those early KZbin days will never come back. However if you recognize what it has become. It enables you to see through a lot of it and focus on why you enjoyed KZbin to begin with. Great video. I love you just playing a game while discussing what is on your mind. I have very little experience with classic Bomberman. I always thought they were more multiplayer games so I never really gave them a shot.

I go through phases watch that style for a month then burn out. KZbin is so multifaceted the styles of content I watch get conflated and one consumption suffers at the cost of another. But I’ll always appreciate the homies here because it feels like I’m coming home to something familiar.

Yeah, we did overlap on a bit of subject matter. I think that we've seen enough examples in other areas of life where people don't wake up from their consumer stupor until something outright shocks them out of it. If anyone has been trained to click on the flashiest headline/video consistently and persistently, then you can basically count them as a lost cause until they experience something traumatic and are forced to overhaul their life. I realise that I probably sound extreme, but it's what I see from people. Nihilism has gripped people. It's made it so that they can sit and watch whatever they're fed in their zombie-like state, and it's made it so that events that would normally give people pause are barely enough to steal their attention, thus maintaining that zombie state. Anyhoo, that's probably more than you asked for in the comments. I suppose I took it a step further than gaming, but much of the gaming audience falls in line with the people who I described. Anyone caught up in make-belief console wars or pretending that gaming drama is more important than their own social circle needs to come back to reality.

Haha you might be overexposed to nihilists lately -- reminds me of The Big Lebowski! I wouldn't prescribe that philosophy to the broad swath of people of any group. Sure maybe more younger people are having trouble finding meaning than we are but isn't that just how it is when you're young? The difference to me is that when we were young, our voices weren't so amplified. There is something of a herd mentality but with the concept of "Creator" becoming so much more widespread, I do think people are becoming more educated consumers of media. Another thing I think is understated is how many words people are consuming. With the popularity of smart devices and social media, it's hard to imagine a world where people aren't literate. Not saying it's a net positive but it's something I think gets undermined. I'm out here just chatting too, should make a Twitch or something lolll.

I feel with KZbin for me, a lot of it was trying to prove to myself that I could do it. Did I make a huge success from it? No but do I feel like I have proven myself to be able to make quality content? Absolutely. But yeah everything is about marketing and manipulating now. It's so annoying. This goes beyond KZbin, this is everything. There's a reason why I made a wrestling universe mode with KZbin Content Creators in it because KZbin is literally pro wrestling without the wrestling, every video is a promo, drama everywhere, loads of crazy bullshit to hook people. The problem is, KZbin is real and people tend to forget that the person talking in the video is a human being. Though I think most people simply don't care. Problem is that making videos for KZbin is the only way to get your foot in the door. From a business standpoint, you're thinking backwards. Drawing people in with clickbait first is essential, they you do the videos for you after... That's the theory at least, what I will say though is that making videos for you, while it can make you happy, it will be a constant struggle to grow. So you kinda need to find a balance really. Unless you're like me and have given up trying, in which case, welcome to the KZbin Underground, don't work yourself too hard because you aren't getting paid and nobody is going to care anyway. The latter is my approach to KZbin now, just fannying about to give myself an excuse to play videogames I wouldn't normally play. It's come to the point that KZbin had become the main hub of my gaming life, I game specifically for KZbin, they are bound together now.

@@Majora_T There is no middle ground. You either choose 1 way or the other. You play the KZbin game and get an income from it or you don't and get no financial gain from your work. It really is that simple. Even if you did manage to get monetized on your channel, KZbin will make it difficult for you to get a payout as you'd have to meet a threshold and could terminate your monetization at any time if you're underperforming, so you have to go all in or not bother at all. That's what happened with Bawesomeburf so I know it to be true.
