Did you ever hear the tragedy of Primarch Magnus the Red? No? I thought not. It’s not a story the Imperium would tell you. It’s a Chaos Legend. Primarch Magnus was a Psyker Lord of the esoteric arts, so powerful and so wise he could use Chaos to influence the plot to create life… He had such a knowledge of the esoteric arts, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.

He allowed them to play soldier until such a time as he required them for their true purpose. It would explain the real reason why the Emperor wanted Magnus and his legion brought to Terra alive instead of outright executed. And if Horus suspected this it would explain why he wanted Russ to kill them, robbing the Emperor of his batteries.

Papa Nurgle , magnus’ biggest problem was arrogance with out fashion, an extremely old saying, but fits perfectly. The Emperor at the time of the heresy is what 260k years old depending on when you date the rise of modern man. He’s highly skilled and extremely experienced being. Magnus highly skilled, excessively gifted on the psychic side, but what? A couple of centuries of experience. The Big E has probably made more mistakes than Magnus has had thoughts. Sometimes the books and stories don’t portray the difference between the being of the Emperor and the rest of humanity, primarck or not.

He literally called them his angels of death, they were above humanity, why wouldn't they expect the emperor to care? After all they were FORCED to do his bidding same as the primarchs no one had a choice but yet the emperor is never the blame for anything he actively caused
@CNNBlackmailSupport3 жыл бұрын
It's easy to ask the 100k to sacrifice when you are part of the trillions. For example, raising taxes to help out the less fortunate isnt any more compassionate than stealing a car from someone and giving it away when you could have kept it. It wasnt yours, so you dont deserve gratitude for giving it away. As a concept, sacrifice cant really be made if you, yourself, arent the one doing the sacrificing. I believe the quote is... "I dont know how many of you will have to die to reach our goal, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make." It's a tragically twisted way of looking at things, and a tragic burden to place on the ones who have to pay the price, especially when it doesnt cost the ones making the call. Convincing someone it is necessary isnt the same as putting the trillions on their shoulders. Just saying.

@@baldermort Other youtubers either have too many memes, injokes and biases for me to really get into the factions (Arch Warhammer) or are very good but broad and “meta” (Luetin) Oculus Imperia is phenomenal, but his strength is also his weakness. Being an “Imperial schooler” he is trapped in that specific narrative. You give us the factions from their own perspective, and your Dark Angels, World Eater and Thousand Sons videos are pure gold. (I have not seen more, jet)

Kristian Kristiansen every army, faction, player or collector should have at least one, just one, video that makes their chest swell and enhances their pride and love of their models is my opinion. Just an opinion. These things aren’t cheap and we spend a lot of time making, painting and playing (maybe) with them. They should be a joy. Just my opinion of course. All of the factions are just sooo good. Not that I’m an addict or anything. Lol. :).

Greetings, gentle Baldemort While being myself never before having interest in the world of 40K, your articulate and entrancing methods of introduction into these myriad subjects is nigh upon perfection. With such a clear passion for these stories and these characters, I find myself here, at the start of your “all” playlist, to watch from start to finish your development and therein expand my knowledge of this world. Man trying to type out a fancy response is hard. Basically your videos go hard as fuck, and I wanna see em and how you grow. Also I came from MajorKill, cheers!

I know I'm late, but Warp-Duck take me if I don't state my piece. Speculation is common among those who discuss 40K and I doubt I'm the first one who said this, but here goes. Perhaps Magnus was meant to only sit on the Golden Throne temporarily, until the Emperor was done with his Webway project. With the Imperium capable of webway travel, they could forego the use for warp travel (save of course for research purposes, experimentation and the like), which in turn would render the Golden Throne unnecessary, as who need a psychic lighthouse when you're not sailing the tides of the warp? His duties fulfilled, Magnus could by then return to his legion and see about addressing the issues of his marines. One of many "If Only" situations... That coupled with this line (I forgot who said this, or if it is even canon or not) "The Emperor was many things, yet for all that, he was but a poor excuse for a father to his sons."

@@baldermort Alternatively, in a move I would hardly call uncharacteristic for him, The Emperor could have done to Magnus and his legion, the same thing he did to the Thunder Warriors if he ever deemed them "too unstable"... Tzeentch only knows what would've happened if The Emperor pulled that trick again.

In my opinion when the emperor decided to ban astartes from ever using psychic powers again, he should have disbanded the thousand sons entirely. With the thousand sons, just telling them to not use their powers could only have ever been a half measure. And if they couldnt use their powers, its not like they were really that big of a force anyway compared to the other legions.

The Emps should have told Magnus from the start his purpose and given him no sons. Then he could have taken the throne and helped Billions of sons. Mankind.

A lot of the Emperor's character is his constant battle against forces far greater than himself, and a hopeless attempt to fight against fate. Therein lies the tragedy of his character; he was eternally fallible, yet led with complete certainty.

During the last narrative bit, I kept getting flashes of a movie villain that is doing something dangerous(magic maybe) and the good guy is trying to stop them. The dialogue is something to the effect of "With this, i will have absolute power! You turned it down when you had the chance! Now i will become all powerful and rule the world!" And the hero says something like "That's exactly why you cant have the power." Then the villain blows up or something. Maybe I'm thinking of a book scene. (No, not Aladdin. It is specifically about the power destroying anyone with evil intent.) Maybe it is from the Sword of Truth Novels? Anywho, the final narration is from a man so warp twisted that he cant see the truth of the situation with the whole "Horus couldnt have tricked the Emperor and snuck the message altering by him," thing. A corollary to "he knew and didnt care" is that he WANTED Magnus killed, despite not ordering it done directly. Why wouldnt he just say to wipe Magnus out? He didnt need to hide the order, since... the guy that got it (sorry, I forget the name) THOUGHT it was a kill order and did it. It just doesnt track. Additionally, The speaker acts like there is no possible way he can be tricked, since there was no possible way the Emperor could be. Ironically, the Emperor probably thought the same damn thing. Imagine the shock of finding out a parlor trick had the effect of turning Magnus, his son. The genius of changing the capture order to a kill order is that everything is identical up until the trigger gets pulled. The ships still load up and head to Magnus' planet. The communication still looks like "On the way to deal with Magnus." The subtlety is astounding. People dont trust lawyers, news media, and politicians, because they know the best lies are half-truths, rather than outright fabrication. ( There was an article a few days ago with a headline of "Calls to poison control skyrocket after Trump suggests drinking disinfectants." The lie is that Trump suggested anything. Asking a doctor about something isnt a suggestion to do anything, let alone drink lysol. The truth is that poison control calls have been higher than last year since the lockdown began. One truth about the increase in poison control calls, and one lie about Trump telling people to drink disinfectants. Completely unrelated things are worded to suggest a cause and effect relationship of Trump and increasing poison control calls.) Imagine the Emperor's shock when he found out that it was his own rage combined with his demand for obedience that made a kill order just as likely as a capture order.
