You mudt have a grandfathered vip plan Fyi for those new to thousand trails: You have upto 14 days to stay Thwn you have to leave the thousand trails system conpletelty for a week Can also only book 30 days out unless you pay a premium to upgrade to 60 days in advance That said it costs about $500 a year for theur basic one zone plan +$60 eaxh additional zone (×5) + $300 to extens to their 100 partner locations (whixh you can only stay upto 7 days at, and limited availability) That said so far my membership has pais for itself this year so to each their own

Thanks for commenting Mike! What you’re describing is a zone pass. We actually don’t have a grandfathered plan. We have an upgrade that is only available for purchase through a rep. It is not available on the TT website. The current “basic elite” upgrade membership is 3 weeks in, park to park, no “out week” and 120 day booking window. There are other levels of upgrade that can give you up to 28 days in with a 180 day booking window.

The Missing Live Stream thanks for your comment. Are you thinking about a TT membership?

@@freedomcalling Yes, we have another youtube channel 1millionmileroadtrip we are going fulltime again and in the spring. I never had TT in the past, considering it now.

Thank you for the video. I don't see the link listed that explains the TT membership in detail. Also, have you had difficulty traveling the TT parks with Covid?
@freedomcalling4 жыл бұрын
Pauline, we just finished adding the links in this video. You can find the other video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXqnoWV3hNOEnac. We have not found it difficult at all to get into TT parks. They did close most of the parks to new arrivals for a few weeks back in April but it did not last long. For the most part, we still stay mostly in the Thousand Trails system when we travel where there are parks.

Hey guys! My husband and I getting started preparing to hit the road with our 2 under two and our dogs. I will be WFM and wondering what do you guys do for reliable internet?
@freedomcalling4 жыл бұрын
Hey Melissa. We actually are very blessed that we still have an old grandfathered Verizon plan with unlimited internet. We are able to use Dereks phone as a hotspot. Typically, Verizon coverage is pretty good. Occasionally, we will purchase campground WiFi if it’s any good. We never rely on campground “free WiFi” but have had a few parks where it has actually been decent. Many people have plans with both Verizon and ATT and toggle between them.

TT is great for full timers on a budget or families that are going camping to be in a campground. As mentioned here and in other videos, if you want a "resort" for an occasional vacation, book into an Encore park (mostly) or a non-TT park. We've been using TT and Encore whenever possible for more than 2 years full timing and have enjoyed almost all of them.

This is how we feel as well. We love TT for all it offers but the Encore parks are usually really nice. That’s the great thing about using TT as much as possible, it allows us to save some money and use that later for a “vacation” type stay somewhere else. Thanks for the comment!

Can I stay at ENCORE resort for 14 days then go DIRECTLY to a TT campground? Or do I have to wait 7 days?
@freedomcalling3 жыл бұрын
Yes. You can go Encore to TT without an “out week” and TT to TT but not Encore to Encore. Hopefully that makes sense.
@1957Dirogo4 жыл бұрын
Thousand Trails is more for over 55 with no kids. And they have an Encore option which are the nicer campgrounds.
@MikeVertx3 жыл бұрын
Not accurate at all. Tons of kids and mostly families at the parks ive gone to.

Thanks! We see a lot of people hate on Thousand Trails but we love our membership and it really has helped make this lifestyle more affordable!
