Thrall : I'm the one that took Garrosh from Nagrand and made him Warchief even though he just joined the Horde, he didn't even wanted to be Warchief and he had quite the temper and there were others like Cairne or Vol'jin that made more sense to be in charge of the Horde... Draka : Not your fault Thrall : Oh ok, I needed to hear that, thanks mom

This cinematic was almost nice. But then its not your fault that you gave him a crumbling horde before leaving him in charge.

i really wish they made the garrosh death cinematic in the raid involved thrall in it should've been nice

I feel both arguments have a truth to it. Thrall enabled that Garrosh ended up as he did, so he carries guilt. But, in the end, Garrosh was the one who chose not to listen when he did have the choice. But, how to blame him? He did not know better. He did what he was taught. He was a little puppet all his life, of course he would go mad at the sight of such freedom and power.
@jshadowhunter2 жыл бұрын
And who was the one who said he'll come back AFTER he's dong with the Cataclysm problem, but in truth, he chose to abandon it so he wouldn't be burdened by leadership? In the end, Thrall is a bigger offender than Garrosh because he could've stopped it before it got too far.

@@jshadowhunter that true how come thrall did not come back as warcheif in mop he can still get laid and have a family as a warcheift the rest of the horde would understand but garosh is still young and have a time ahead of himself thrall was the one who push his dark path on him yes garosh accept what he has done over agian in that timeline it was thrall who push the mantal it if he had not garosh would been a fan fav

I'm glad to hear Thrall apologize but then they're acting like Thrall did nothing wrong in this situation, what even. He abandoned the Horde. He did the same thing Sylvanas did against Saurfang in their duel, but WORSE because he's an orc. Everything Thrall felt guilt for was accurate and they sweep it under the rug. What should I even expect anymore?
@Maniaman2132 жыл бұрын
Sweep it under the rug? the guy has been reflecting on garrosh for 3 expansions now, lost the doomhammer and got his ass knocked sideways in legion cus post garrosh duel depression, tried to be a farmer in bfa because he still felt unworthy and now he finally he comes to terms with that, yeah he fucked up but he could have fucked up the exact same way 10 times over and still have more good deeds than bad. this guy is the reason the horde exists as it is. It's time to stop dwelling on garrosh. Because in the end Garrosh was a dick who deserved to be crushed by a giant rock hand. When you have a crisis of faith, you talk with your mom and she tries her best to cheer you up. it's works wonders.
@neh12342 жыл бұрын
@@Maniaman213 The thing about bad deeds is that they don't simply get swept under the rug, no matter how much good you do to compensate for it. The argument was always whether he screwed up by leaving an unprepared Garrosh in charge and regardless of how much Thrall wants to play orc Jesus, he definitely did. He left him to deal with the mess that were diplomatic relationships with the Alliance after Wrathgate and the first siege of Undercity, never helped when the relationship with the rest of the Horde leaders soured thanks to what was essentially the Burning Blade's fault, and most importantly, didn't come back after Deathwing's defeat to stay at least as an advisor, despite having no business playing Captain Planet anymore. Garrosh before MoP was reckless and belligerent, but could be reasoned with. "He made his choice" doesn't work when while faced with such circumstances, most would have done the same. The Alliance was already hostile towards the Horde in Cata, and that's the part Blizzard and Thrall apologists seem to forget when discussing about Garrosh. The Horde wasn't trying to put military outposts in Elwynn Forest, while Stormwind military took over centaur land just to have a vantage point conveniently near Orgrimmar.
@Maniaman2132 жыл бұрын
@@neh1234 You went on some tangent about Garrosh's actions being understandable but that doesn’t factor into Thrall forgiving himself. He made his choice refers to the whole genocide Garrosh wanted to do. He's not some misunderstood tragedy, he's messily written character that switched personalities between expansions. Garrosh doesn’t need avenging and Thrall is not directly responsible for Garrosh's decisions. Seven years of moping is enough and now he's fighting to stop the unmaking of reality or some shit, move on.
@neh12342 жыл бұрын
@@Maniaman213 Yes, Garrosh was pretty much Blizzard's answer to not having a baddie to blame everything on as usual, and the first sign that they were running out of villains, or the real reason why Thrall left was Metzen leaving Blizzard, but that's hardly the point because that's introducing meta in a discussion that doesn't need it. Thrall was the warchief, Thrall was the one who founded Orgrimmar in a freaking desert out of some misguided sense of penitence, disregarding the issues that would later lead to Garrosh to retaliate against the night elves, and the Alliance as a whole. It was Thrall who put Garrosh in charge over more prepared and more like minded individuals like Cairne and Vol'jin, despite Garrosh's warnings that he was not ready, in a situation that was pretty much a war against the Alliance that was all but declared. And you seem to have misunderstood my point. Thrall is free to forgive himself, what Blizzard is not allowed to do is to sell us the illusion that he did nothing wrong. You didn't see Doomhammer just leaving the mantle to Thrall to go become a family man, did you? Thrall had several chances to return to the Horde and defuse things, and he didn't do it until things were already out of control. That's Thrall's sin. It has nothing to do with what Garrosh did or didn't.
@geigercourtier2 жыл бұрын
I feel like their setting Thrall up to be killed like Saurfang….and sadly after everything blizzard has done to this beloved franchise….I don’t care… I didn’t capitalize the B in blizzard on purpose. They don’t deserve it
@warhammerguy2 жыл бұрын
Jesus fucking Christ. One of the biggest faults of Thralls character that people didn't like was that he refused to accept any accountability for Garrosh. One of the few good things from BFA was that it looked liked he finally would take responsibility for his actions. But now it's like "nah brah you didn't do nuthing wrong it was all Garrosh's fault" even though the bronze dragonflight themselves said that Garrosh was wasted potential and he could have become one of the greatest heroes and warchief of all time if circumstances were different. Thrall told Garrosh only the whitewashed truth of his father and elected him to the highest seat of power he wasn't ready for. Even Garrosh himself knew this. Drake herself should know this better than anyone that not telling the whole truth about Grom was a huge mistake. He was one of the most savage and feared Orcs on draenor because of his rage. Even Guldan and Blackhand feared him due to his legendary rage and that rage runs in the family. Not telling Garrosh about that because Thrall looked up to Grom and put him on a pedestal was bound to be a disaster. Remember that Grom willingly drank demon blood again just for the chance to win against Cenarius despite everything that had happened.

Those is what the story telling in WoW has been reduced to. Party 1: I’ve done something I shouldn’t have. Party 2: But I have ancient wisdom to tell you that you didn’t do it wrong Party 1: But I insist that it was wrong Party 2: I insist you didn’t do wrong Party 1: ok I believe you now and I’m now convinced you were right that I didn’t do wrong Thanks. That’s all these conversations between these characters end up being.

Given that Sylvanas was way worse than him and is getting off scot free because Danuser, makes you see Garrosh in a more positive light. It's also the result of Garrosh representing better days when you could see players from the other faction and have legit reasons to want to gut them. Faction pride used to be a big thing back then, now the game itself blames you for it.

Thrall is not wrong choosing Garrosh as a Warchief. He has all the potential to become one. But one thing Garrosh lacked is experience and relation. Unlike many other members of the Horde whom had interact and experience with the opposing party, Garrosh had none of this. He should have cooked Garrosh better and give him more time to adapt from his usual Mag'har lifestyle to Horde's lifestyle.

Garrosh did nothing wrong? He had Saurfang with him in Borean Tundra and Eitrigg in Orgrimmar, he could've listened to their advices but he chose not to, he was arrogant, hateful and stubborn. Thrall offered him a chance in hope of him keeping Grom's legacy but he ruined his own path.

More like i need someone to tell me i didnt do anything wrong and its fine just moving forward. How stupid the writing can get?
@TheDerek142 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I realize they are putting an emphasis on "responsible for your own actions" but that isn't a clear cut, black and white statement. Garrosh was unfit to lead the horde. Garrosh knew this, and didn't want to be warchief. However Thrall still wanted him to be warchief. Garrosh was still a novice in many regards, he wasn't ready for leadership. Thrall is still very much at fault for how Garrosh turned out, and how the narrative is painting Thrall as "he is punishing himself for nothing" is absolute bs.
@Tyrantlizard1272 жыл бұрын
Honestly they're both at fault. I don't care if Garrosh wasn't ready for the role of Warchief, his actions are still his own. As for Thrall, even though he had a legitimate reason to leave the Horde, stopping Deathwing and ending the Cataclysm, he should have picked Vol'Jin or Cairne. Not Garrosh.
@jshadowhunter2 жыл бұрын
DRAKA, faff off! Seriously she has NO RIGHT to talk about the burden of leadership or the consequences of one's actions when she basically died without fighting back when Blackhand's assassins killed her. Seriously, the amount of gaslighting the writers have been doing this expansion is so infuriating, pinning the blame on something else. I hated it when they did it with Uther, and I hated it when they did it for Tyrande, but Garrosh especially pissed me off, because the words are coming from somebody who's not been active for 40+ years and knows nothing of the world her son grew up in.

Lol, it sounds like Christie Golden speaking through Drakas mouth, absolving Thrall of everything, while he has some sane moments where he might see, that he had some responsibility. What a waste. What a joke. These writers are the definition of incompetence.
@JKAZ_M2 жыл бұрын
Christie Golden doesn't even work for the WoW team department, let alone story development.
@neh12342 жыл бұрын
Christie Golden is guilty of a lot of things, but she only wrote some books, pretty sure you can blame the actual writing staff for this. Not hard to find. They're very vocal about feminism and identity politics on Twitter. Which makes the current situation with Blizzard even funnier.
