Dude- TOTALLY! I lived in a skatehouse the first time I saw this movie, and we got so hyped that my friend made a daggers stencil and we spraypainted it all over the house. We were so much more hyped on the daggers. Also, if you think about it, Hook is a protective brother and Corey is some dude who came in from out of town looking for some summer ass.

I know that the DAGGERS were the villains of the movie, but I grew fond of them more than the RAMP LOCALS. The Daggers dressed cool, their house was decorated wild and practically lowbrow, and the DAGGER'S turf in Venice Beach looked the same. Like their "Home away from home" on the beach. Genuine rebels. But the RAMP LOCALS were the good guys so naturally they had to win. But in the end Hook congratulated Webster, both were happy Chrissy returned, Chrissy and Corey rekindled their love for one another, and perhaps a mutual respect for the two skate crews was established. Not a bad ending.

Love how at 2:36 monk or whoever that was goes from losing his balance on his board to then somehow flying over the concrete sidewall of the parking garage. Even at high speed wouldn't you just wipeout and fall off the board and roll like crazy? Not sure you'd jump a good 6 feet lol but it's a movie after all and one I loved back in the day.
