Thread Getting Tangled Up at Beginning of Sewing

Sewing machine problem: Thread bunching under fabric at beginnnig of sewing.
One of the most defect of sewing jersey and thin fabric like chiffon is tangled thread on wrong side of fabric.
In this video I give us the simple helpful tips to help prevent this problem. (Tangled thread on wrong side of fabric).

Finally I found the answer to my ?! I didn't know how to put the fabric. I was putting thr fabric in between the top and bottom threads. Thank you for making it short and to the point. Some of the other ladies talk too much 🙄.

in my case tread gets so tangled in the bobbin that needle can't go up and down anymore and it can't be helped like this 🙁any suggestions? 😢

So I was also having this issue with her machine and couldn’t figure out what the problem was. Turns out, the bob is that I bought are too tall for my machine, and it was getting stuck in the bob in case because it couldn’t clear it if you’re still having issues with your machine, I would recommend trying to find some of the transparent plastic bobbins of that’s not what you’re using already as they might solve your issue

Thank you, this seems to have solved my problem 🤞. My mum bought me my sewing machine and she has since passed away so I did not want to buy a new sewing machine. You techniques seemed to have done the trick. 😊

Do you think this would work for a Blind Hem Foot? I was using a Husqvarna Viking (at my library) and it made a straight stitch very well. Then I put on a Blind Hem foot and changed the setting to the Blind Hem stitch for light fabrics and it tangled the upper thread in the hook/race area 3 times in a row. I'm going to try this and report back. In the mean time let me know if you have any advice for my situation.

Mine is getting tangled, top needle won't move, when I pull the threads out, more than 2 threads come out. It's a tangled mess. I'm a beginner with an old machine I was gifted. Help !

Use your handwheel to make the needle go allll the way up manually before you pull the fabric you are sewing away from the machine. Usually having more than two threads, means the stitch didn't finish its cycle. And always turn your handwheel towards you.

My top thread is tangling at the beginning. When I take out my fabric, I have three strands - two of the top thread. Then, I'm really not thinking that the bobbin thread is actually sewing. It pulls out really easily. What could be wrong?

I agree that Brother should fix this. The number of people complaining that their new machine does this is very concerning. Mine does it too and I find this fix to be very helpful but that user experience is still sub-par. I need both hands to sew, and using one of them to pull on thread 🧵 is stressful.

@@rainqueen3385 yes. First time I tried it worked and Iv continued this technique since. I find that if I need to start in the middle of fabric then I just put the needle in the fabric first and follow the same technique xxx

Nonsense, one should not have to mess around like this if the sewing machine is adjusted and set up correctly. Your machine needs adjusting by a qualified technician.
