How to do free hand embroidery on this machine?

There is a feed drop function. Once you do this, you just need to hoop the fabric and then perform free motion embroidery using straight and zigzag stitches.

Do you mean the cams? There are specific ones for the Janome. I am awaiting a few to arrive in the post having purchased them on eBAY. I might have some duplicates which I will be able to share with you if they are correct. It is difficult to know if they are for the right machine since they often do not carry the brand name on them. Morse does not fit as I just found out when they arrived yesterday.

Can you provide a bit more information about what is working and not working? There are many types of jams, and I need to point you in the right direction.
