For me it was a demo disc that came with Vagrant Story, rented from the Movie Gallery my dad managed, and it had this, FF8 and Front Mission 3 on it. ...I may have spent FAR more time on the Threads of Fate demo than I did on even Vagrant Story itself. Later that year I got the game and its guide for my birthday.

Used to have a big family in california, and therefore being dragged to lots of family events. I love going to my grandparents house. They had a ps1 hidden in a quiet room, i would escape and get as much progress on my save file as possible before leaving. I wonder what became of that ps1 after his passing

Who remembers the smell of opening a brand PS1 box? And disentangling the cables, moving appart and hearing that characteristic sound of the polystyrene frictioning, the colors and texture of the box and quality plastic of the console itself. Then putting it together with those "big box" CRT TV, pressing the "open" button on the console, then putting a CD and hearing that glorious Sony Intro that reverberated throught the sound system. The 90s man...

With SquareEnix as it is now? I would say, it's better that game remained as it is. Beautiful story, with it's end. Today, game industries are tend to ruin everything beautiful and wonderful, turning it into brainless, souless cash cows, and nothing more.
@wintersolstice357310 жыл бұрын
Raiko Seria Yeah but a little graphical improvement isn't bad. Maybe at least an improvement on the abilities, but concept will remain as the same. To be honest this is the simplest yet the best RPG game I've played. No fancy gears required.

Osmium Armorhelm As nice as a sequel or remake would be, square enix with it's new technology would probably find a way to destroy the game we love, just like activision did to spyro...
@wintersolstice357310 жыл бұрын
Demondestro8 Maybe if they make it as simple as possible it may work out. Looking at the last games released by Square Enix, they might add some unnecessary details and features that can destroy the game. If I'm not mistaken Square Enix also made Legend of Mana but didn't made a sequel of it either.
@1LERS110 жыл бұрын
