I've been watching Twitch streamers for a long time and it seems Twitch is giving streamers a worse and worse deal. There are also loads of add breaks. They sometimes cue up to 12 ads in a row. I use ad blocker but most don't. Why not stream on KZbin. You are already there so it should be far easier to convert your video viewers/subscribers into livestream viewers.

Yeah it has been a bit bumpy over there for a while. I've changed the options on my stream so that people hopefully (!) only get the one ad before the stream starts and then nothing after. Seems like you can't turn them off completely though which is annoying. I did think about trying out KZbin live streaming but I've heard others say Twitch is a better community experience which made me settle on that.

Twitch is a unique platform, really fun too! I have some irl friends who stream, and how they grew was being active in chats and having other bigger streamers shout them out when they were starting to stream (another way to grow if you're not on other platforms). Thought I'd share just in case people feel a bit helpless with trying to grow on other platforms to then become a streamer :)

Great vid! Just a lil suggestion: Your volume on stream needs to be significantly louder, I went from this video to stream for a sec and the volume was like 25-30% of the volume here, which leads to viewers having to turn up the volume a lot to hear you, but the downside is if anything else plays (e.g. another video) it will be significantly louder. I disagree. As someone with an inner ear disorder that will slowly make me deaf, I have NO problem hearing you. But I also use an external speaker. I do not have to increase and/or decrease the volume from your channel to another. You are heard loud and clear.

I think what I struggle with (not that serious, just couldn’t think of better words) is consistency in content. Generally subscribers are built around sone stated interest - video gaming of a particular type, home renovations, money making ideas, etc - it’s extremely unusual to build and sustain an audience where their is no clear theme.

I choose not to interaction with any platforms other than occasionally watching some KZbin videos as recommended on my Homepage, and I personally loath live streaming even by my favourite creators, so I guess I am far from being your target audience. I tried live streaming for years, I barely got any viewers, I got no one interested in my channel, and eventually every single video I made got flagged for copywrite even though it was my own made videos. Some times I would be humming a song, or there was a song in the background music of a game I was playing that I couldn't turn off. Or some random company in Japan or China would copywrite strike me for something small like the sound of wind chimes.

Thats actually smart advice and the First time i Heard of this. Most Things i Heard is "Just start". That is true for Sure, but that Always felt odd to me. Because Most Big streamers are Big, because of a lucky coincidence(Like Something they Said did Go viral and stuff), at least the Streamer i know. And all Streamer i actually watch on a daily bases, i know from KZbin. The few streamers i know, who got a steady growing followercount where often streaming for decades whitout anyone watching. At least they Said so. But, for me personally that would be super depressing.

This does look like a nice computer. I'm rather fond of my YOGA because I like the touch screen, especially when making digital art with a stylus. Being able to touch exactly where I want my brush to go and not hovering like with a Wacom pad before making my marks. It is a bit old, and I will keep this option in mind if anything should happen to my well loved YOGA. Also it has character stickers in yoga poses, which make me smile.
