'Threat in all elections' from 'hostile state actors', says deputy PM

Deputy prime minister Oliver Dowden is asked about reports the government is gravely concerned about the Russian influence on Nigel Farage's Reform UK.
This comes after claims by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) that it had unearthed a Russian operation in support of Mr Farage's party.

I don't want Dowden to talk about, I expect the government to do something about protecting our elections. This is not the first time this has happened and what have successive Tory governments done about the likes of Facebook? Social Media is being used across the world to impact democracy (not always for good) by Governments are not doing enough to deal with Social Media Companies. This is a perfect example where the likes of the EU has the muscle to do something about it - Better Together.
