Hey man please answer this question, this is driving me crazy, I must know: they say every time you change string it is a downstroke. Is it true? Do you play this way? Please please pleseeeee answer cause you re very good

@svidrigajlov Hey! Thanks so much for commenting! To answer your question: Usually, yes! The reason for this is because the down stroke (which is nearly always a 'rest stroke') helps create a sense of swing in the phrase. If you just played alternative picking (up down up down) the whole time, the notes would sound very similar in their dynamic, timbre and feel. The down stroke really helps to get that swinging feeling physically into your hand too... Does that make any sense at all😅. Really hope that helps, I might make a video on this subject.
