Wave garden cove tech is my favorite so far. in my Bristol session they pumped out up to 20 waves in a set. The machine is silent compared to Waco which is noisy. Feels more like an ocean wave. But paddle back is tough. Waco only had 3 waves in a set and the machines are noisy. the paddle back is easy because of the rip current against the wall. Look forward to trying Kelly’s in Abu Dhabi. NLand was a long fun wave. But it broke like a wake boat wave. Very fast. Not very rippable which is basically a smaller version of Kelly’s. Also been to NJ mall wave and typhoon. Great fun for beginners. Older tech. City wave in Chelan was also great. Really allowed you to focus on turns and testing boards and maneuvering. Helped with cutbacks for sure. For reference my surf experience is advanced intermediate.Surfed Indo, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, etc. overhead conditions etc. 🤙

@WavePoolMag happy to chime in. Just remembered, another difference with Waco tech and other similar setups is that you split half the session doing lefts, then the other rights. But with Cove you choose left or right for the whole session, which is can be good if you want to focus on a particular side. NLand beginner sessions were the best bang for the buck though because you could surf the wave with groups of people simultaneously as it went back and forth. Felt like you caught a hundred waves because you barely had enough time to paddle back and reposition before the next wave came. True test of conditioning. And the outside would start walling up and start mini barrelling. So much fun. The slater wave could be setup for the same.
