All class wouldn't be expecting pedestrians to cede way for him tbh. Couldn't care if he wants to cut into cars and run the chance of getting hit...but classy for cutting of pedestrians...yeah nah

what I find so fascinating is the low level of hostility from the car drivers...in my City I would not dare touch a car. If the driver would notice he would try do kill me lol. Beautiful video, its very inspiring. Thank you!

I was commenting on the rider hanging on to the cars a little bit to transfer some of their speed...but just come to Vienna you idiot...car drivers here are actually trying to overrun you even when you are riding on a bike lane that goes against a one way street just because they think they are in the right.

That's why there's no alley cat bike race's in Chicago. Already 3 people died this year while riding in the bike lane and a car hit them.. looks like more bike friendly in New York..

i Dunno, I'm old and haven't ridden an NYC Alleycat since I left NYC in 2006, but I knew a ton of fellow messengers who might disagree with your assessment.

It's that's here drivers are more used to it if they drive in Manhattan all day. It's mostly Ubers and taxis so they know the deal. Go to Brooklyn Queens Bronx it's different tho. Only in the city I would say but it's still not safe reguardless

when Terry is filming races he usually rides his E-Bike. Riding fixed while filming would be beyond crazy. You gotta balance the shots you're getting with not getting run over. Tricky business he's in ;)

I had to Google the meaning of "Alleycat" to understand this type of race. Sidenote: DFL...🤣🤣🤣 Now watching this makes sense to me. Be cool to know what info the riders receive at each checkpoint. These races are exciting to watch! #edgeofmyseat

como ciclista de mtb, admiro bastante essa galera das fixas, tem que ter um raciocinio muito afiado para andar nesse transito e cuidar de todos ao redor, só faço uma critica para a maneira como entram nos cruzamentos, se "jogando" na frente dos pedestres , como se eles é que tivessem que desviar da bike e não ao contrário.

Loooong story made short: I did that once near Seattle, got pulled over, cuffed, and put in the back of the cruiser while they called for back-up... because I was bicycling without my driver's license. I later learned the rotund cop who pulled me over had a reputation for picking on cyclists. An angry, overweight man...

34:45 - The bikes in NYC may not have brakes but it's a good job the cars do. This is the only time I feel judgement for the riders featured on this channel. When they leave their own safety in the hands of others.
