We were hoping to buy you a drink along the way if the stars aligned. We are heading to St Croix as our final destination if you happen to be heading south again this year. Love your channel! We will be stuck up north until May, but we will be heading back down south then. Hopefully we will be in the Bahamas by June! We have never stayed at Summit North, but have purchased fuel there many times.

Captain Ed. I have a question I noticed when you were backing out of your slip there was a lot of mud that was kicked up. I know you’re close to the bottom but my question is do you get mud in your water strainer “ cooling system” that cool down your engine? And if so how often do you take the mud out of the water strainers. Do you think some of that mud bypasses the strainers and ends up in the manifolds of the engines.?

I am sure some muddy water must get through the strainers. We are not actually hitting mud when we back up but the props churn it up. We check the strainers periodically but have never had any problems. Usually a couple small sticks and leaves. However, at our winter slip, the is much less water and we only turn the engines on if it is near high tide. And we never turn the AC units on.

Do you have a photograph with you boat in front of the Bridge/Opera House? If not, I would have to ask the artist. Everything she has painted for us, and other boaters, was from a photograph or physically in front of the boat.

Well, we love our Hatteras! The Carver 355 was a great boat too if you are looking for something smaller. If you have a big budge, we love the Flemings as well. Cruising the east coast in a boat was one of the best decisions we ever made!
