4 years ago my mother fiance started getting really sick, I didn't act like I liked him and wished she wasn't with him. I grew to love him as a father and started praying for him to get better, I was optimistic that he would be okay. On the last night I would ever see him I said nothing... I didn't tell him I loved him, my mom took me home to sleep and when i woke up she had a blank stare and a look as if she'd been crying. She silently said that he had died overnight while I was asleep, I felt like the most horrible person because I had not told the father figure in my life how much he changed my life before he was gone. If he had pulled through they would be married today. This song reminds me of how life was with him.

I am soooooo sorry for your loss. I felt the exact same way when my uncle died a couple months ago. I never really liked him and we'd get into a lot of fights him and my dad his brother also got into it alot. I never really appreciated the fact that once ppl are gone they never come back s we must live are lives to fullest and enjoy being with the people we love and care for. I never said I loved him when he died and I never saw him die but I've regretted it up on till now. I've always contemplated taking my life but never actually did but I wanted to be with him in heaven but I learned you can't go to heaven if you commit suicide. So I live everyday to the fullest now and learn to love those around me. I feel your pain and am very sorry for your loss. I hope you too can find the strength to carry on for your father's sake and everyone's as well. God bless you and your family and I hope the best for them as well.

Emma.in.reverse there's not a doubt in my mind, there in's and out's downs and ups, and sometimes there's nothing the way I see it some people are better off alone, and some people need that other person to feel complete, when you go through the same thing over and over again expecting different results with that person it's literal insanity, when you lose someone again, and again you'll learn that you have to wait, you get pulled in by the real world and can't get out, then you have someone there to back you up

Every time I find this song again I love it and hate it. it reminds me of my ex girlfriend, which brings along a lot of bad feelings as well as good ones. I loved her. with all my heart, gave her absolutely everything I could to help her be as happy as she could be. she knew me. I'm a kind soul, very forgiving, very loving. but in the end she changed. she cheated on me, mentally abused me, left me for the guy she cheated on me with. she still used me to help her whenever things went wrong - which they always did because she cheated on him a lot - and she always knew that I would help no matter how she treated me. I was too kind. too generous. and she abused it. it took a very long time for me to realize that I can't let her or anyone else do this to me. I'm still kind, some would say too kind, but I can't forgive her. and this song reminds me of that. this song reminds me that we still had good times, and that some part of me still cares for her, but it also reminds me that I can't forgive her. it gives me both feelings. the fantasy of the past, and the reality of the present. I only hope that the pain she caused me will serve as a lesson. as wisdom. and I hope I can find someone to take this place in my heart that I gave her and never got back.

It's been more than a year since we've been apart but I cannot seem to move on. "Time heals wounds" they say. I'm sure we are better than them and we will find someone else who can actually appreciate every darn thing we do for them.

***** Time does nothing but let the wounds ferment and become infected. As cliche as it sounds she and I were perfect, the problem was long distance, her current boyfriend (Who she will have an unplanned child with.) even though he cheated on and possibly even fucked a girl 5 years younger than him (He is 18.) He sucks at sex, she doesn't enjoy sex with him, he gives her ultimatums, judges her on her fashion choices, neglects her unless she does what he says, and for Christmas he got her a ball gag, hand-cuffs, and a device that forces the submissive's legs open, and DEMANDED that they used them even though she is still pregnant, and on numerous occasions tried to fondle her without her consent.

There's no reason any person with a shred of humanity in them should do these things. So if you ever need someone to lean on, I'll be here for you. If a stranger can offer more kindness than someone you trusted completely, at least it's a stranger who knows you're not alone.

I believed so much that this me and a friends song for SO long. This is the song I was listening to when I actually got the courage to text him. But, I was wrong. I had thought I was being clingy and obnoxious to him so we stopped talking and then I text him and he said we're still friends. But we were talking yesterday and it made me realize, he wasn't ignoring me. I was ignoring him. Always think twice before you tell people what you think is wrong.

I don't know about much of there music, but if it's ANYTHING like this, I need to listen WAY more often. This song is utterly beautiful. I can only imagine it live.

2021 anyone??! I'm 27 and still emo. I tried to tell everyone it wasn't just a phase 💜 This was mine and my best friends song in 8th grade. We'd sing to together all the time 😌 miss those times. So nostalgic. Oh if I could go back to 2008 😭

I never realized how hard this song could hit me in the feels until I started dating someone with mental illness. She could not control her emotions, her words or anything she did. So it just didn't work out and won't until she gets professional help. I know it's not her fault for the way she is. Then one day she sent me this and the very ending of this song hit me so hard that I started crying uncontrollably.

it's been 6 months since you left. we almost had it all, almost five years, i thought we're settled for each other. i can't say goodbye until now. im still holding on even you'd let us go. idk if i will ever get over you, every day, every night, i'm just getting through. it hurts so much, i dont think i'll survive this. some people cut that deep.

Back around 2008/9 I had a girlfriend and we used to listen to this shit all the time back then. I've moved on and not heard this in years and tonight stumbled upon it again and it's brought back memories. How music can transport us lol
