hasNext() does not give elements it's function is to check if there is another element to iterate For returning elements .next() is used.

MY JNTU STUDY ListIterator and Enumeration are not universal cursors i.e. ListIterator can be used only for List implemented class objects but it has some additional methods for replacement and addition when compared to Iterator and Enumeration can be used only for legacy classes. Iterator on the other hand is a universal cursor and can be used for any collection classes like List, Set and Map implemented class objects. Hence each cursor has its own limitation and we need to use them according to our requirement.

ListIterator is not Universal cursor. It is child interface of Iterator Interface. It is used only for List. Iterator is Universal Cursor and is used for all Collection. As said, Enumeration is legacy cursor(was not decommisioned) and it is optional to use and it is up to you to use it or not. Hope this helps!!
