Yay, first comment!! So my brother and I run Strategists all the time in our group. We play Co-Op exclusively and these are the skills that we chose for the Strategist that makes it a powerhouse at Level 5: Valorous Support; Smokescreen; Instinctive Throw; Low Blow & Unstoppable. However, we also make them our LT's, so that gives us the ability to run up to an engaged ally and get off another attack. For skills we have First Aid, Run & Wrath. Equipment-wise, we've found the best dagger to be the Tactician's Dagger (the one that gives your ally an attack of opportunity when you strike from behind) and a throwing sickle for the offhand. All skills are upgraded wherever possible. A very heavy Valor Point build, but the results are incredible. A typical run would be to use base movement to get within range of the enemy and throw a sickle. This triggers the reset on run from the Instinctive Throw. If I am near an ally that's engaged then I will use the skill to give my ally an attack (I can't remember the name of this skill at the moment) which triggers another reset on my movement. Pass through the mob if it's still alive and attack from behind triggering the dagger effect and another reset of movement. Low Blow, Smoke Screen, Run and Wrath are all extra chances to reset movement. Oh and you can heal an ally to get another throw/reset. Running the Strategist like this after your heavy hitters have engaged multiple enemies in close combat usually results in three-four kills. Anyhow, I just wanted to thank you for your videos and advice on skill use in general.

I appreciate your input! That is pretty similar to how I run my strategists as well. These videos are mostly tailored to the beginner players who are looking for overall specialization synergy to test things out. That being said my next series of videos will be pretty in depth and give not only specializations, but oils, items, and skills/upgrades to use and aim for as well as overall battle useage for them ;)

wouldn't elderguard be better for strategists? it's non-legendary but it's upgradable and has auto-disengage at end of turn.

@@hist0rian elder guard is my go to on strategists as well. But you can play the game in a lot of different ways ;)

@@marklaplante8675 it is a community item that was re-implemented with 1.0. The community bounties can be found on the bounty board with a golden border. They basically give pseudo legendary weapons that can be upgraded the same way as legendaries.

I've got a poison focused ranger, and it's just so much fun to play. I picked up Aim to give my bombs a much further range. Stacking movement let's me run in, fling acid on the better armored and slower enemies, and run back to safety. By the time they get to me, they are in rough shape. I have them equip corrosive or knockback bombs in their offhand to help with support. So just flinging bombs all over. So much fun.

I love DoTs because I just enjoy the play style. I just wish they were stronger than what they are 😂

The build i go is assassin + Valorous Victory + Knife Throw (best skill coz the upgrqde) + Cold Blooded + Unstoppable + torch (very important) (Upgraded) Knife Throw allows u to go all across the map killing ppl Crit Oil I got two rangers and both can easly get 4-5 kills in a row Btw, whats the point about crafting your own armors?

That’s a pretty solid build, especially if you add unstable oil to the mix ;) As for crafted armors, they’re meant as baseline gear, and you’ll use them late game for armor layer slots versus bought or looted armor simply because it’s easier to get layer slots there.

@@Carltheblackone a perfect craft gets 3 armor layers, which can increase your stats quite a bit.

@@Carltheblackone yep, I always go with this assassin build since the first time I've play the game, they are literally a killing machine. anyway, extra attributes from the armor and the layers always good, right. 3 star armor stats + 3x (+2 Dex, +2% crit) for your assassin. 🤩

Great vids and info on stuff man, do you have a rec party size/comps me and my buddy just started yesterday also any Pet Build archer build? My Friend loves pet builds i just dont know how to get them and do they make the game Scale more?

Check out my archer video! As for recommended party size I tend to not go over 8 battle units, as combat starts to slow down quite a bit after that. Composition wise I tend to keep it fairly balanced with 1 of each weapon type and double up on spearmen and warriors. Pets count as party members and will scale up your battle sizes, and they are uncontrollable until you either have a bacon collar or the archer specialization that lets you order animals.

I think poison build are pretty good against bosses and high HP enemies like bears

They are good but champions (bosses) take 25% damage from DOT effects so it takes a lot more to get them down :)

@@clydian can you do a video on ideas For profession specific perks and skills for each of the different classes? Like there really isn’t much of a reason to have your ranger become a blacksmith or for a brute to become an apothecary. Plus, should there be benefits for archers and rangers that become apothecaries and thieves beyond just stats?

Hi, one question, you don't max the dexterity? Especially for the throat cutter ? What would you recommend as a split between Dex, movement and willpower? Thanks you're great !

I never max out dexterity because you’ll get more dexterity from your daggers than you ever will from levels. It’s better to put level up points into stats that don’t naturally grow. For a more in depth breakdown on the math you can check out my attributes video. As for my recommendation, I’d get to 14 willpower, 16 movement, and dump the rest into critical hit.

@@trueduke2515 nothing resets attributes unfortunately. That being said you don’t need to have an optimized build to ‘beat’ the game and can beat the game without allocating any attribute points!
