It reached #2 {for 3 weeks} on the Canadian RPM Singles chart, the three weeks it was at #2, the #1 record for those three weeks was "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies... "Easy To Be Hard" was from the 1967 Broadway musical "Hair", and in 1979 Cheryl Barnes' version peaked at #64 on the Top 100... Between 1969 and 1975 the California band had twenty one records on the Top 100, eleven made the Top 10 with three reaching #1, "Mama Told Me Not To Come" for 2 weeks in 1970, "Joy To The World" for 6 weeks in 1971, and "Black and White" for 1 week in 1972... RIP Jimmy Greenspoon...the flavorful Hammond B3 Organ player and keyboard player who flavored all of 3DN's early hits!
