Wow, just wow! Great song with perfect words for this day and age we're living in 2/23/2023 Heartbreaking news surrounds us, yet it seems like nobody cares. I just told my neighbor, people have grown cold and evil. Prayers for our hurting world! 🙏

It's now 17 July 2023 and nothing has changed. Everyone offers up a prayer, but few actually do anything meaningful to change the world. Cold and evil people have always been with us and will be with us always. Every so often a demagogue comes along and opens the Pandora's box. In the twenty-first century it was Donald Trump. Through his words and behavior he gave people the world over a pass on displaying their hate, self-conceit, and ignorance publicly - with no sense of decency or shame. You want to change the world? Get rid of Trump and his sycophants.

This song with this clip epitomizes man’s inhumanity to man. I could actually feel his desperation to get away and his despair when he realized he would be discovered! Which is worst being called out when you want to maintain your anonymity or remaining obscure when you need to be seen and heard. This song with this clip is deep. Makes you think. What really stood out was NOBODY HELPED HIM.

Very well said and I also felt his despair. As my heart was crying for him, I was becoming more and more angry with the crowd! It made me ask myself, who are the ones that were really the monsters?!........About the song, I have to say I was in awe of Chuck Negron's voice! He was amazing!

AND feel SO ANGRY AND DEEPLY SAD AT THE SAME TIME......humanity pisses me off and at 76 years old, been around the block enough to KNOW the difference with ass holes and such.......PERIOD!....(not to mention that love three dog night and THIS song is my favourite of all of their whole repertoire)

"Easy to Be Hard" is a song from the 1967 rock musical Hair. Sorry if this has already been said. I scrolled and could not see that correction. But yes, this version was used in 'The Elephant Man'

How can people be so heartless? How can people be so cruel? Easy to be hard, Easy to be cold. How can people have no feelings? How can they ignore their friends? Easy to be proud, Easy to say no. Especially people who care about strangers, Who care about evil and social injustice. Do you only care about the bleeding crowd? How about a needing friend? I need a friend. How can people be so ugly? You know I'm hung up on you. Easy to be proud, Easy to say no. Especially people who care about strangers, Who care about evil and social injustice. Do you only care about the bleeding crowd? How about a needing friend? We all need a friend. How can people be so heartless? How can people be so cruel? Easy to be proud, Easy to say no. Easy to be cold, Easy to say no. C'mon... Easy to give in, Easy to say no. Easy to be cold, Easy to say no. Oh, it's too easy to say nooooooo.

I don’t understand people who throw away their friends because I never done that. I am not a cold person. My friend ignores me. We aren’t friends anymore, but I still have one who I have been friends with longer. Also, I have a new friend.
