OMG, Van! This band is 1 of the top pop bands of ALL TIME! Their name, "Three Dog Night", comes from the Eskimo custom of bringing 3 sled dogs to sleep with them in their igloos on extremely cold nights. You simply MUST react to "Joy to the World" - NOT the Christmas carol, but their signature song. A couple of other good ones:. "Black & White", which is about JUST what it sounds like, & "Never Been to Spain", which is as funky as a bunch of pop musicians can get. Love your insights, sir! Thank you.

Three Dog Night was a favorite of a LOT of Jr. High and High School kids back in the day. Most of their fan base had HEARD of parties where there was alcohol and drugs available. But the wildest parties most of us had gone to only had maybe a 6 pack of beer that someone had snuck in. This was just a real fun song about what we all thought we were missing out on. TDN had a lot of really great songs. One of my favorites of theirs is " Never Been to Spain". I enjoy watching your reaction videos. I look forward to seeing more!

No matter what generation you from, the music hangs on memories. Because as you go forward with life, you go with new clothes, new ideas, new everything, You forgot about yester year, All of a sudden, you hear a song and the clothes, places, people, feelings repeat itself. You get to be there again for a nanosecond. From a 73 year old lady from Ocean City, NJ, what could be better. Another 20 years and you be in my place---remembering. Thanks for the memories!

This was the first 45 rpm I bought as a preteen, good song. Everyone was looking for escape at that time, Nixon and Vietnam, and the Kent State killings, Jackson State killings had all of the American young people worried about the future and if there was going to be one. Manson trials were happening and that shit was crazy, Watergate was happening, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin passed and the Beatles broke up. 1970 was a difficult year for all.

They were one of the biggest selling bands of the 70's with a long string of hits. A band with 3 great singers that switched up who sang lead. That's the late, great Cory Wells singing lead on this one, wonderful bluesy soulful voice. "Never Been to Spain"..."Black & White"..."Shambala".."One"..."Easy To Be Hard"...can't go wrong with any of those.💙☮💙
