What about competition/search volume once the relevant keyword’s found? Would you suggest long tail or short tail keywords? Are they useful to be found by searching on Google or on Pinterest itself? Love to hear your feedback.

I am mostly confused by what we are supposed to actually "do" with the keywords once we find them. Are they strictly for Pin descriptions? And The pin relates directly to the blog post is that correct?

Do you know how well Pinterest combines those keywords from the pin titles and descriptions? Meaning, if someone searches "elegant wedding dress", will Pinterest consider any pin with those words or are pins with an exact quote higher up in the search results? I've been doing a lot of keyword research recently and I've been wondering if "writing a novel" and "novel writing" are the same thing in Pinterest's eyes 😅

This is a GREAT question! This is what Pinterest calls "broad match" and "exact match", and this mostly comes into play with promoted pins (Pinterest ads), however there's a bit more going on in the background when it comes to organic. Generally speaking, Pinterest will see "writing a novel" and "novel writing" as different keyword phrases, but how they are ranked in the background depends on many different variables. A pin for "writing a novel" could technically show up under a search for "novel writing" IF the pin has high engagement or Pinterest has given it a high confidence score based on a number of other factors. I suggest taking a look at trends.pinterest.com to see which one of these phases has a higher search volume and sticking with one! Also, check back for tomorrow's video where I dive into this topic a bit more with HOW keywords actually work on Pinterest (spoiler: there's a lot going on in the background!)😊📌

Maybe! I like pulling the keywords that are actually trending on Pinterest and the best way to find those, for me, has been on Pinterest:)

@@ericamuddimanhi erica are the pins that appear at the top of the results for a keyword the most popular pins or does Pinterest rotate the results each time?

On Pinterest is VERY key and note there are KW software that will check Pinterest Etsy and eBay and Amazon plus google showing the answers via individual platforms. You really want to use the platform or software that via and API will get that information per the platform. ChatGPT may or may not get relevant info but maybe provide kw by way of an old snap shot which probably is shut off. No matter what you are doing experiment experiment experiment test test test. She left out one more way which has to do with generating advertising ads it will ask for keywords BUT it includes Volume levels of people searching USING specific KW
