Saved your video to keep me company on this gloomy Monday as I finish up my workday. The colors of your Corran Cardigan and Stick Season sweater really suit you well. So autumnal and beautiful. When I finish work I will work some more on my Framework Raglan test for JessieMaed and then wind up EKF yarn and start swatching for the Killiney Test.

that sounds so nice, thank you :) it's so nice that we're both doing this test 🧡 looking forward to seeing your version!

Your Killiney is looking so beautiful!!!! Also please don't worry about all the questions, I personally love being able to see how people (mis)read stuff because it helps me think to see if there's a clearer way to write it. Thank you for your order, can't wait to see what socks you make. Lovely episode as always xx

I'm also knitting a Northlandsweater right now. Mine is in a beautiful reddish brown, nougat sort of colour and it's gonna be for my dad. Just cast on during your video and I love it already. I just enjoy working yoke increases so much, keeps me entertained so well. Especially in combination with your podcast :)

oooff the stick season in saffron will be sooo good 🥹 I'm a bit emo because I had to restrain myself from ordering even if I loved that color very much 🧡 but I'm going to get some similar orange shade from knitting for olive in the future and make the cabled sweater of my dreams with it!

@marleneknits Жыл бұрын
vielen dank! das ist gut zu wissen :) der champagne cardigan ist auch noch auf meiner liste, finde es auch so ein klassisches design, das man sicher zu vielem tragen werden kann :) in welcher farbe strickst du ihn? 🧡
@NK-jo9kz Жыл бұрын

So maybe my Tolsta sizing debacle is not completely my own knitting‘s fault then? Definitely sizing up on her patterns, as I like to wear tents.
@marleneknits Жыл бұрын
yeah, I think that's what I'm going with in the future! it helped me remember the importance of checking circumferences and all the information that the pattern offers and not just pick the same size 'as always' because that's just not the same every time!

Hi Marlene. Another lovely episode. I usually knit with Chiao Goo steel needles but I was thinking to get some wooden needles for when my hands need a rest and for when travelling. For wooden needles do you prefer the feel of the chiaogoo bamboo or the knitpro birch(ginger) that you used to use? Thanks, Una 🧶❤
@marleneknits Жыл бұрын
hey una, great question! nowadays I would always go with the chiagoos (especially because of the cords, the feel of the needles is more similar), hope that helps! 🤎
@una3766 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Marlene. I ordered a few of the CG bamboo tips to see how I get on and I like that I can use my red cables that I already have with them. Looking forward to all your episodes. 🧶❤🧶❤

Hi, I was wondering do you think that the sweet shop blanket squares could be turned into pinwheels? I would also like to know your opinion on the video tutorials in the pattern? I’m very new to German short rows and I’m a little intimidated. Thank you for your help and advice😊
@marleneknits11 ай бұрын
hey! I‘m not sure I understand your question? I have not looked at the video tutorials since I was okay using the written instructions :) I think it would be better to ask the designer about further questions on the pattern but I find german short rows to be a doable technique and have found tutorials on youtube generally helpful if I don’t know a technique yet! really hope you’ll figure it out, happy knitting ☺️

@@marleneknits hi I just bought the pattern a couple of hours ago. I think it is doable for me. I appreciate you getting back to me. I found a discount code on little drops of wonderful podcast. It is a 20% discount. COSYALONG. I hope you have a great week 😃

Beautiful projects as always! 😍Love that flock cardigan you are making! What needle brand are you using for your socks? I'm currently using bamboo DPNS but want to invest in something that does not grip to the yarn as much. Love to hear your thoughts on that. And while watching this video I was knitting on my Favo sweater by Fiber Tales. Such a beautiful pattern and the right amount of challenge for a newbie like me! 😍

As someone born and raised in US the us sizes in needles also confuse me. I watch a lot of KZbinr knitters not from the us so I mostly hear about the mm size and I don’t get why there has to be a different size name

I'm American and i also get confused by the US needle sizing 😂 I'm always amused when podcasters only mention the US size, because then they have to figure out what to call the needles that don't have a US size and have to resort back to metric

I knew I'm not the only one confused by this haha! :)
