As a metalhead for over 20 years, it brings me great joy to see the growing appreciation and enthusiasm you girls have for metal and guitar oriented music. Little baby girl in the middle is especially endearing. Horns up girls!! \m/

First off, you girls are just too cool, your enthusiasm for metal is a breath of fresh air, especially for an old metal head like me LOL😄😄 In all seriousness, the younger generation of today doesn't really care about metal music, of course there are some who enjoy it, but what I enjoy about your reaction videos is that you react to some old metal, stuff I grew up listening to. When I was young, my older brother got me into it, and actually, metal was very popular. And here I am, a 49 year old metal head who still loves it LOL 😄😄😄 As far as Jinjer goes, let's just say I love this band, they are the first band in a long time that I instantly fell in love with. The first time I heard them 5 months ago, I knew this band was for me, and like I've said, I have been listening to metal for a long time. Here's some things about Jinjer that I've learned about them. Their name Jinjer means.... absolutely nothing, it was a name that the actual founders of the band came up with. The current members of the band, Tatiana (vocals), Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar) and Vlad (drums) none of them were an original member of the band. Jinjer was formed in 2009 and have had several line-up changes, although Tati, Eugene, and Roman, joined the group shortly after they were formed. Vlad the drummer, has been with them since 2016. Jinjers' drummers have had a sad and interesting journey. Eugene Mantulin was their drummer, but he ended up having a horrific accident where he fell off a 3rd story balcony and crushed his spine. I don't know for sure, but I believe he is now paralyzed. After the accident, Dmitriy Kim (who is fantastic by the way) became their drummer, but only as a "fill" in drummer until they could find a permanent replacement. If you girls react to some older Jinjer songs like "I speak Astronomy", "Sit, Stay, Rollover" and "Just another" Dmitriy is the drummer for those songs. They finally found a permanent replacement, which is Vlad, and the first video they did with Vlad was...your first reaction to Jinjer, Pisces. A few more things about Jinjer, they originated from Donetsk Ukraine which is in Eastern Ukraine. Their native language is Russian. Tatiana has said that when they come up with a song, the guys compose the music, they hand it to her, she comes up with the lyrics which she writes in Russian first, and then translates them into English, that's pretty damn cool. Now some sad things about Jinjer. Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union, when the Soviet Union fell apart, Ukraine became their own country. Unfortunately, Russia, which was/is the biggest country from the Soviet Union, decided to invade Ukraine to try and take it over, it's been an ongoing war for years. Well Jinjer fled Ukraine, left their families behind to follow their dreams to become one of the best metal bands around. They have toured non stop for years, and finally after their hard work, they finally became a "headlining" band. They deserve all of their recent success, and the sky is the limit for this fantastic band. A few more things to say, I actually had tickets to see them on April 24th in Los Angeles, but it got postponed, I'm hoping they will reschedule (which I'm sure they will) so I can see them. Also, their "logo" is actually a drill bit used for drilling for coal. Donetsk Ukraine is actually the 2nd largest producer of coal in the world, and they got that "logo" from that city's coat of arms, it's cool that they have that "logo" on stage with them to always remember where they came from. Well enough of my rambling LOL😄😄😄 I'll leave you girls with this, if you continue to react to Jinjer songs, you will not be disappointed, I can honestly say, they do not have a bad song, every one of their songs is different and unique, but all of them are fantastic. You girls keep doing your thing, and stay Metal. 😊😊🎶🎶🎶🎶🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Great reaction for a great song, girls! Jinjer is simply an amazing metal band, and one of my favorite too. This song (I think) is about the enviroment. That Mia's headbanging was so powerful! You definitely have to listen more stuff from them, like "Judgement & Punishment", "Words of Wisdom" or "Who is gonna be the One". Greetings from Mexico.

The theme for this Song is the change in seasons from autumn to winter. Tatiana usually suffers from depression during this transition and she describes that in this song. The lyrics: This autumn feels like funeral to me The longest song of grief And not for what has passed But for what shall last Exhausted nature is so tragic and suicidal! Oh how spectacular she is when she kills herself! Death throes are slowly crawling to her toes As the last leaf is falling off her head I'm here with her undressed With a few petals on my breasts We shared opiates and let the landscapes do the same I love your warmth but yet prefer to sleep in cold alone. We fixed our eyes up to the sky To see a flight send us farewell Goodbye! May we see each other next time So please, come back to celebrate this festival of life! Then as now fly! Today you reached the point of no return Now cry! And then die! Tomorrow I will meet you with your cells restored Annual tradition of mass destruction In the name of total reconstruction My biggest source of confusion The reason of decay and disillusion Under permanent ice we found a breathless paradise No, we're not dead No, we're not dead Just enjoying coma From the ashes of my roots the new me will rise to live again This is poetry of youth, this is poetry of me and you!

I have been a huge Jinjer fan for many years and love to see new people being exposed to them because they deserve every single view and new fan they get. They are probably the hardest working band out there today and they have struggled through some pretty crazy stuff over the years but keep on working hard every day. If you watch some of their older videos that were shot in clubs you will see that even with a different drummer and a second guitarist they were still ready for the world stage back then and they had to find a way to make it happen over and over again, from concerts being cancelled because they couldn't get the visa to leave their country to band members being injured in accidents and much more. I am so looking forward to a documentary showing all of the struggles they have pushed through to get where they are now. P.S. I am going to see if I can get Tatiana to watch this video because I think they will really enjoy it. No promises though because I am just Fb friends with them and don't actually know them personally or anything.

Dear Mia, Juliet and Sara - we (those who love Jinjer - point newcomers to live performances because so many are under a false impression that Tatiana isn't doing the growling herself. This puts it beyond doubt. I want you to see the music video for the single Judgement And Punishment, because it shows that their musical influences are wide and diverse - from Jazz to Reggae and everything in between - and because it is darkly funny. 👍🤘❤️ Edit: Nice Windmill, Mia!

Being a relatively new band in the Metal scene and first timers on the festival (one of the most important Metal festivals in Europe), they were "relegated" to a secondary stage at 11 AM and yet, look at the size of the crowd that was there to see them! Plus they had some problems with the sound gear which delayed the start of their set, so they had to cut it short. Perennial wasn't supposed to be the last song, that's why Tatiana felt the need to "warn" the audience that it was the end of their set. Tatiana's speech and bow at the end wasn't because she knew they did a good job but rather to thank all those people who were there to watch them, despite the early hour and despite the shorter set. : )
@j.f.fisher53184 жыл бұрын
Exactly this. :) As an old song says, "it's a long way to the top" and they worked incredibly hard to get to Wacken. I'd add that they rolled their earnings from doing mostly sold out tours over the next year into upgrading their stage production so they could make a bigger splash on the festival circuit and get better slots. You can see those upgrades for large festival venues in the background of On The Top live in Kiev, and several views of the smaller version for touring in smaller clubs in various clips from Retrospection. Alas all that gear is sitting in storage since everything is shut down. :(
@QueenBee-py3ks4 жыл бұрын
Jeffrey Fisher re the shut down- yes I’ve been thinking of the band and their finances a lot. What a shame that after such a long time of hard work, they have finally become a widely know and much loved band, gaining new fans daily through all these reactions and are unable to play. 🙁
@MrHws5mp4 жыл бұрын
Nice one ladies! IIRC Tatiana said that the gold jumpsuit was super-hot and not very breathable (look how she's pulling the shoulder out early on) so she was probably suffering by the end. I've also read that the start of that performance was delayed by tech problems so they didn't get to do their full set, which is why she seemed to rush into the goodbye speech at the end.
