This song is an OST from the 2011 Chinese TV series Bu Bu Jing Xin ( English title: Scarlet Heart) based on the novel by the same Chinese name, though the English novel name is Startling by Each Step, by Tong Hua telling of the journey of a twenty-first century woman who gets transported back to the court dramas of the late Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty . A Korean remake was also released in 2016 with the name Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo 달의 연인 - 보보경심 려 set during the succession of the monarchs of the Goryeo dynasty.
