Yeah, a lot of people seem to conflate CN with CE and their most common cousin, Chaotic Stupid. I've had plenty of players be like "I stab the guy! Why? Chaotic Neutral!" Weirdly enough, their "Chaotic Neutral" behavior only ever seemed to manifest as random acts of violence and crime. Personally, I'd say a CN character should be more like a Tom Bombadil character. They don't give a shit about things, they just act on whimsy, but don't actively go out of their way to deliberately harm nor help others. They just want the freedom to do their own thing. IF they have any kind of larger goal, it'd be an anarchist nature: dismantling governments and social structures. But that's just my interpretation.

ironically enough that almost describes my Kobold PC. They try to do their best and be as morally good as they can be, To a fault. But the amount of shit they have accidentally caused is ridiculous. They have technically been been in two campaigns. In the first they were a level 5 cleric. And are responsible for two tutorial town deaths accidentally. Well sorta. One involved a giants ants nest and wasn’t directly responsible. Town two they accidentally summoned a random god. Said god didn’t like that town for lore reasons (heavy homebrew) Campaign two DM was still in the same world and asked me if I wanted to play and even if my kobold could be done again. This campaign has been going on for quite a bit longer. While they have been responsible for a bit more and some of this directly. They accidentally started a cascade of events that would lead to a current main antagonist leveling up twice. But hey at the same time the party leveled up twice for this. They also accidentally casted a ninth level spell as a level four rogue oblitering a giant crab trying to kill em, part of the dock from a port town, and basically infusing themselves and a party member with star dust…. They almost obliterated the party member too. The spell ended up doing something like 323 damage or something. All of the above listed has been entirely accidental. I am decently unlucky especially when it comes to dice but the amount of times I’ve done something that should’ve gotten me killed and survived or do something mundane and suddenly have a dangerous situation.

The "Bard" Trio also notably seem skilled in illusion, intelligence, charm and dexterity, while the "King" Trio were overly specialized, the "One" being the strongest and clearly has a strength build, "Two" is the Dex build, though may also have a Charisma build, and "Three" likely had the highest charisma... With the King Trio lacking any intelligence or Wisdom, but having obsene amounts of Luck. I mean, the animation implies the King Trio were not very bright, and only got away through sheer dumb luck.

I had three character sheets level 3, like the rest of the party but only one got to have a turn during combat, and if one died or fell unconscious, the other two would fall over, grab their friend and run hahaha. Only really possible during oneshots

​​​@@Chloe-v3e9vactually, considering better action economy, 3 characters of 5 levels each, who is a bard, a fighter and a rogue, is comparable in power to one character with multiclass of bard 5/fighter 5/rogue 5, maybe even more powerful. They would even have more HP together on average. Of course they would have their own problems, like lower mastery bonus in exchange for more skill proficiencies and triple damage from aoe attacks. However, overall, it would be playable with a help of GM to manage non-standard situations.

Like my 12th time watching this, just noticed something: At 0:48, the gnoll tries to bite the maiden but misses, and for some reason, he also has tears in his eyes. I kinda shrugged it over the first few times I watched it, thinking that he was sad that he missed, but that didn't seem quite right. But upon watching it again, it turns out he's BITING HIS TONGUE with his RAZOR SHARP gnoll teeth, so of course he cries a bit. I'd argue both groups are slightly more diverse of parties. To be more precise, One from the Mustache Kobolds is probably either a Barbarian or maybe a Fighter, Two is likely a dex class, maybe a monk but honestly we've got the least data on him, and then Three is the spy rogue making the deception checks. Meanwhile the Bard Kobolds are a well oiled machine, with One being an Oath of Ancients Paladin, Two's probably either a Warlock or a Sorcerer, less clear on that one, and Three's a College of Glamour Bard, which is why, despite them all having the Entertainer background, Three is their face.

I think that Two needs to be just as Dextrous/Balanced as One is Strong and Three is Clever. He needs to balance not just from One's running, but make sure Three doesn't get unbalanced either, and most of it without seeing anything.

I have been listening to this song for 3 days straight because it's so *goddamn* catchy. I also do love how you can tell each characters class. One is very obviously a Fighter, with many points in Con and Str. Two is a Rogue with high Dexterity, and Three is a Bard or Sorcerer that has high Int and Cha. The Kobold trio that makes up the bard are all bards themselves.

i like to imagine the bard is the same 3 kobolds in a trench coat years after, once they had more adventures and eventually learned how to actually be effective as 3 kobolds as a trenchcoat, and had actually been helpful for a few years, and now they're retired and sing about their adventures prior to being a hero, when they were just a problem by accident, and they're forgiven because the 3 kobolds in a trencoat were actually rather young at the start, and since they grew up, they've done more good than they ever did harm

Something I can’t stop laughing at is during the section in which the townsfolk chase the Kobolds out of the kingdom, you can see them actively chasing the Kobolds, even when their not in the trench coat. The citizens could be doing this for 2 different reasons, both of which imply their really dumb… The first reason is: They are mistaking the Kobolds for the king. This implies that they can’t tell the Kobolds isn’t the King, and their blindly just chasing whoever is in their face. Which means their really dumb if they can’t tell the difference The second reason is: They KNEW the three Kobolds is the king, meaning they were dumb enough to think three Kobolds could rule a kingdom and it not end in a complete disaster I’ve been thinking about this for a while and both options are so hilarious I need one to be cannon

can I just point out that the singer saw the three kobolds in the same tavern he was signing? and that as they were driven out of the kingdom, that was the EXACT moment that the kobolds reached the town. that shows that the song was happening at the same time as it was being sung, not just a story of times past. oh, and the singer was three different kobolds because 1) you see the singer and kobolds simultaneously and 2) their colors and horn shapes are different. and oh yeah, the singer doesn't;t wear a trench coat. he must be using magic.
