I have seen many videos of Caterham owners driving on various tracks and always often that they were not getting the best out of their machines. This video is different. You are pushing the car very well indeed through what looks to be a very enjoyable circuit. Well done. It was a pleasure to watch.

Very well done sir, looks very neat and tidy, also pretty damp fast, most of the cars I work with will lap Cadwell in around 1:50, amazing just how far the 7s have come in performance since the S2 lotus in the late 60s. Only thing I noticed was the amount of understeer around the place, I reckon there's nearly another second there if you can sort out that understeer, get the car sliding in the tight stuff and get it balanced through the faster corners.
@DanielFrench17 күн бұрын
Thanks - yeah the car wasn’t setup, so had massive understeer… I had it professionally setup and it was much improved…. I’ve since sold the R500 and raced Caterhams for three years in the official Caterham motorsport championship

Some top driving tho, That gear box looks solid, Looks hard to put it gear, lol, Better like that tho, We all want a stronger gear box, lol... The driver has a really strange technique. Specifically with regards to positioning of hands. Constant repositioning. Unwrapping the thumbs from the wheel at times. Seems to work for the driver but makes me nervous to watch and never seen it before. Perhaps a Caterham driver can shed some light on this?

Sorry but this is terrible driving. Blip engaging way after the rear axle has lost energy, MASSIVE understeer, upshift using the clutch. Shouldn’t have a painted helmet really - why heel and toe if you don’t engage the engine at the peak revs. You shouldn’t really post a clip if you’re crap
@alancollard89395 жыл бұрын
dont know who you are , but id like to see you do better , ,it didnt have massive understeer a couple of times he got understeer due to brake locking, and as for criticizing using the clutch i think you will find its a syncro box not a dog box ,and as a matter of fact if you use the clutch on a dog box ,you will get twice the life out of the dog rings
