I cover the cutting board with a piece of cling film. Then trash it when done and wash cutting board. Seems easy enough and works for me. 👍

The cutting board type brings up an interesting point. Salt can kill some bacteria by changing the water within the cells, but it’s not an active disinfectant. Wood does limit the amount of microorganisms like bacteria. Plastic cutting boards have shown to leave microplastic in your food, especially meat. There’s health risks with using either options, but I’m personally a fan of using wooden cutting boards. Just make sure you have multiple cutting boards and scrub with soap and water after use. You probably won’t kill every spec of bacteria, but i think its the lowest risk

We use 2 diff wood cutting boards. 1. For veggies 2. One for meats...keep clean with salt and vinegar. Keep boards color coded to not mix up.
