Cancer ascendant here. When I was younger, I deeply felt everything around me. Not necessarily good. One of my astrology teachers said to look at the crab, it’s soft stomach, how it protects itself and how it moves etc. I like using the attribution to the crab.

This is the 2nd time this week that I've heard of the moon as being a kind of portal from which we descend. It's beautiful to understand this. As a person that is quite an antithesis to cancer people (I have a capricorn stellium, sun in aquarius, rising libra, sag moon) I have to say that cancerians have always been a whole level of mystery when not an utterly strange gathered nonsense of emotions, to me. I nevertheless have recently come across so many cancer persons, (I barely ever had any in my life) that I have had to try and unveil that mystery (and god knows I love a good human curiosity to solve). Now this 'cancer invasion' comes in my life as I personally started to recognize and acknowledge how relevant emotions are. Something I always by-passed, and deemed irrelevant and contrary to reasonable decision making processes, pretty much to my undoing tbh.. Through letting them in (trust me, as a necessity, not as an overwhelming of them or as a desire) I have come to understand them - emotions ¿and cancerian people? - as signs of the Divine, too. Which is what the moon is again, a reflection of the divine. I really think that cancerian people popping in my life are indeed precisely supporting that movement and definitely showing me, materialising, the way back to paying attention to all the signs of the divine, indiscriminately. And I guess that is what they do, in general, they are the ones most capable to remember us, that link we have lost, that connexion we seek and are in a permanent quest for. (Which is what Acutya has literally been doing, bless him) Not to go too deep, though, I'll just finish thanking for this speech, which is absolutely enlightening and a true deep spiritual sense making of the cancerian vibration. It really is a truthful and caring depiction of these special beings and what they bring to the rest of us on earth. Blessings.

I have Sun, Moon and Mercury all conjunct in Cancer. I've never related descriptions of Cancer. The people that know me well and understand astrology can't believe I have three planets in the sign lol. It's all very weird. But I've rationalized that for me it mostly comes out through deep loyalty and strong protective instincts towards vulnerable "beings"- mostly animals. I go full she-bear when it comes to animal abuse. If we go by that as the definition of Cancer then I can get by it. I do have Pluto trine my Cancer planets, and Uranus and Neptune opposing them so that no doubt changes things up quite a bit!

Yeah, that opposition will definitely alter the typical expression, in shocking (Uranus) and mysterious (Neptune) ways. Capricorn can be tough as nails, but they're still kinda broody, so, I'd be surprised if you don't have some, major fire correspondences. For one thing, the fire signs are the notorious animal-lovers of the zodiac. Also, a strong Mars and/or Jupiter would mitigate the weepy traits we associate with Cancer. Of course, Cancer is Cardinal and has a hard shell, not like Pisces, so, you can expect a little of that, anyway. If your 1st house is Air or Fire, that would also make sense. Lastly, I think, when Mercury is in dynamic aspect to the Moon, they can alternate, between overly emotional thinking and overly rational feeling, and there may be some supporting factor in your chart which favors the Mercury there. Probably, a combination of mitigating influences is likely.

Cancer, Cancer Rising, Sun conjunct Mars and Uranus during a solar eclipse. I think of my home as my "crab shell". Many families have come and gone, but I am a person that on my journeys, people find in a crowd, to talk to about their trouble and pain. I always listen, try to connect, tell them they are Loved, and never abandoned. I recognize strangers in crowds, who I think of as somehow looking for someone like me at that hard place in their life. I live alone, by choice. I sometimes channel my inner " crab in aggression" as needed. I see my family in a more universal sense of humankind. I am an adventuer by nature, a cliff jumper, but keep my favorite things around me, carefully arranged in my crabshell of the moment. I would love the hear you talk sometime about a solar eclipse, and its meaning, for those born with this at their birth. I feel this has played a significant part in my life.

Mars cancer - moon aries. Mutual reception there with a tight aspect(square) between them. Passive aggressiveness was my language haha. Now luckily I'm learning others like assertiveness and love and forgetting about it 🤗 My best friend is a cancer sun and venus with a strong scorpio rising. She's going through a renewal of identity right know specially since 1 year ago. I admire her and I've learn so much with her. Now we life far from each other and I miss her. We lived 15 months together. When we started to live together we just met and I was extremely independent(fear of vulnerability, rejection(triple fire haha), etc.. ) and she was on the opposite side(tendency of neediness with multiple partners). We taught each other so much and lived the best quarantine ever together on a house with backyard. Now we're experiencing similar renewal but coming from the opposite sides. Both unbalanced. Now I'm sharing my life with the man I'm in love with, and she's starting to have silence just for her because she deserves to not serve others like a therapist or the unconditional friend who is always there. Or like the one who entertains the group. Such energy must be saved for her and the ones she consciously chooses. Love cancerian people with all this power they have. ❤️

8th House Cancer sun here. Unfortunately, my Mars is also in Cancer in the 8th house. I never understood why some of those stereotypes existed. I always wondered if I was weird because they didn't fit me. Then I thought maybe I exhibit more of my rising or moon sign? I have a Scorpio moon in the 12th and so that can overpower a lot of things. I'm a Sagittarius rising with Jupiter in the 1st house almost exactly conjunct my ascendant. (Literally less than a degree.) I think my moon sign runs the show most of the time. My Sagittarius ascendant saves me- that's for sure!

Passive aggressive as can be sometimes, yet i think it's very circumstantial and relative to the people involved. I notice that it can go very, very deep and intense in specific cases, and for me, they most often tend to have a yearning for others to be on the same level. I love to teach and inform, yet there's a boundary where i just hold all efforts and lock the stream from my side, to see if the other side would be capable of getting to the "generally known" best case scenario, best merge of both sides, most obvious response option, aso... In groups (especially online where bigger gatherings are possible), there's a lot more levels and intrications to the relations between both myself and all other individuals, and also between those individuals. Then there's group dynamics and hierarchy. I'm have a leading role in an online activity group, and i use passive aggressive techniques or strategies to make people think for themselves, trying not to be there for every single instant. This could be communication related, or subject related. It's like taking off the training wheels from your kid's bicycle. You're not going to let them ride with them into adulthood... One could also claim it's a failed communication, but mostly that comment will be defensive from the other side, not taking into account all the details, history and future prospecting that a cancer already accounted for... I did have a relationship that ended, and one could say due to passive aggressiveness, but again, that is a defensive technique to lure for more input on the other side, with a history of countless hints, tips and clues most often clearly and openly suggested or discussed at the time. I probably could've said it's over, but giving up is not a cancerian property. The cause eventually being the failed entrainment of both signs, cancer and aries. Social "skills" of aries often get used to hide real issues. It's the non detailed vision of the aries that gives them the advantage to not go into situations too emotional, which could be a problem for cancers.. Aries often tend to put their "feelings" aside for other people's ones, which could lead to all sorts of calamities, both psychological and physical, especially when the relationship is intense (family/parent/kid/partner). Now, it is possible that there are cancerians that do all of this subconsciously, due to a lack of awareness and knowledge, and then it could be very problematic.

I am a Cnacer rising, Leo Moon and Scorpio Sun. I have a question. I don't feel needy but am often annoyed by clingy people. I have been referred to as the ice queen because I can go days without connecting with anyone and not realize I am doing it until someone calls out to me and says, "I need some of your time." I find that if I don't have enough lone time I get very aggressive and irritated. My question is Why would I not be clingy? I feel exactly the same! Cancer rising, Pisces Sun, Capricorn Moon...and boy, do I ever need my alone time. Tons of it. I'm perfectly happy going days at a time without seeing or talking to anyone. The rest of my chart is basically air so I'm not exactly an introvert, but 80% of the time I prefer superficial chat (like you'd have with a waiter or a stranger at the coffee shop) to extended intimate company. I too get very irritable without plenty of psychic, emotional, and physical space. Part of it, for me, is that I have a very rich, satisfying inner life and I resent intruders. I'm also an artist and writer by trade; I've fought for decades for that sort of lifespace *because* of my need for solitude, rather than the other way around. :-)

Wait! Question? That picture of the sky you showed of the summer solstice,…. you show the sun between Taurus and Gemini while the cancer constellation is 2 over to the left. How come we don’t use the actual sign the sun is in? Newbie to astrology, so if there is something I am missing please let me know. Would seem more “true” if we used the sun and other bodies in their actual positions rather than an arbitrary section of space. For example, if I use my birthday with the real positions of the planets and the sun in relationship to the real positions of the constellations I turn into a cancer from being a Leo. Cancer is biased towards fertility. Ishtar/Inanna aka Semiramis was the moon goddess of Mesopotamia. She was the daughter of Sin/Nanna. She had no boundaries in love and war. She did not want to cut the umbilical cord to humanity. They mentioned this in the Aquaman film when they told the history of Atlantis. This is why it is hard for cancer to evolve. Ishtar became Easter and easter eggs became a symbol of fertility. Ishtar son Tammuz was born Dec 25. Ishtar is known as "Queen of Heaven" in the bible. The mother of Nimrod aka Orion the hunter who is the father of all apostates. The hebrews used make pancakes and cry to Tammuz because their "tears were seeds" of worship. Abraham left his dad Terah in the city of Haran with his brothers where they continued to worship Ishtar. They never learned who Jehovah thr true God was. Ishtar is the mother of all Cancers. All horned gods are born from Ishtar and the horns represent the moon crescent which rules over them. The moon on the flag of Islam is representative of Ishtar. Ishtar is the mother of all false worship of the true God Jehovah. Even the virgin Mary has been turned into Ishtar and Christ has been turned into Tammuz in the Roman Catholic church aka Babylon.
