Thank you, that's very kind of you to say, but at the same time I actually really enjoy the AI narration aspect of all this. Still, perhaps at some point I'll change my mind on this, and start throwing my own voice in more and more (even though I've used it from time to time to convert specific phrases, though it's never noticed), or voice some characters myself, but in any case, I do appreciate your point.

Depends on a lot of things. Once they realise what they are, they may well see one another as kindred spirits and ally. They may alternatively see one another other as perverted versions of the ‘true’ faith. Eventually, the two Broodminds will join together, but it’s not instant.

Ad a game faction, I'm never particularly fond of GSC; the models need to be distinct, I understand, but they are often ugly, too me, in a way that says "these never blended in with a community", and they often lack a certain amount of punch. In lore, though, I think they are cool, and while I don't always understand how they work; what's the range of a Brood Mind? Would each planet have a Patriarch, or can its effect cover systems, and each cult still maintains only one?, but they are interested device. I didn't take into account that more cults were multi-planet, so that's what I designed for my Rogue Trader verse. The Cult of the Scattered Seedlings isn't focused on one world, or even any world, but instead within a voidship that plies my Koronus Expanse. This grants them a unique mobility, allowing the central element to avoid getting cornered on on planet, and they can seed a colony on any sphere they visit. Their goal is to touch enough planes in the region to try and make a signal strong enough to attract their gods, even through all the Warp storms that surround the Koronus Expanse, and with the limited Imperial presence, they have a shot.

It would seem to be a combination of genetics, psychic susceptibility and the ever-present fact that most of the lore is Imperium Centric. After doing some reading, there may have been an incident where Tau were in fact targeted by Genestealer. The hive mind gains Nothing by going after the necrons and any orc genestealer would likely be killed for not being orc enough.

Other races are either immune, or have means to detect them before they become a problem. Human society is full of both literal and figurative nooks and crannies for a cult to hide in.

They don’t. They try to infiltrate eldar(breed too slow), ork (notice the weird acting orks) and tau (culturally too close to not notice and also tiny in comparison to other empires). Humans are just easy targets, lots of humans and ignored by their peers

@flinus4237 I find it hilarious that the Genestealer's imperative to go unnoticed and not cause trouble until Ascension Day actually works against them in the case of the Orks. A Genestealer infected Ork becomes more docile and is suddenly not able to compete against its peers. So, Ork society doesn't need to really hunt Genestealer Cultists down. Their society just does what comes naturally and weeds out those who can't survive.

Wait, I thought the nids had a limited range on their connections and gene stealers range is even smaller. how can they be spreading across multiple planets? If a person is loyal yes they can leave and function independently but that loyalty can wane over time and recruiting new people on the planet isn't possible without the psychic connection.

The patriarch supplies that, and genestealers work alittle differently than normal nids. Less reliant on the hivemind tho some will have that connection
